I've just browsed a search to find that most Scandinavian countires make national service mandatory. Its done them no harm, and I bet they dont have the appalling crime amongst youths like we do.

Taking pride and doing something for your country never hurt anyone (not that I'd know Lol) and would instill discipline and manhood, something at present theses cretins lack.

I agree all the way. It just won't happen while these limp-wristed spineless fairies are in power.

If it DID happen, I'd stick only those who display degenerate behaviour on the Nat. Service list - teach the c*nts a lesson.

That in itself would be a deterrent to some.

Yes mate, but these delinquents should not make other law abiding teenagers - and there are plenty - do national service. I know I'd feel pretty fecked off if nat service was introduced when I was 18, people have aspirations at that age. They don't want to be constrained by a draconian measure that removes them of any choice.

I know the sort, you can smell them a mile off, but yeah for sure I agree about the nat service. Be selective, use it as a sort of rehabilitation if you like.

Hmmm .... Some good ideas there

Still, national service for the deliquants is my preference, and I doubt it would cost the tax payers as much as some of your well thought out ideas LFC2007, like controlling teenage pregnancy, possibly harsher sentences e.g imprisonment in young offenders homes and even tagging.

Though points 1,5,6 and 7 are excellent ideas especially 'Increase extra-curricular activities at schools and colleges.'
I dont think the honest tax-payer would mind dipping there hand in for something thats 'pro-active' I wouldnt, but still I'd run points 1,5,6 and 7 in conjunction with national service.

in thailand all 18 year old males have to report for military service at 18, (thais leave school at 18). if however they are accepted at university they will not have to perform military service.

its an excellent grounding for them, either get an education or get discipline. but i have to say hand on heart we do not have any real major problems with the youths, there is the odd gang fight or fight between schools although this is rare, but we dont have a situation where a gang sets upon an innocent bloke walking home, especially if they are older. the police here are quite happy to dish out beatings (as the british police where before all the cctv spoilt it).

if there is some form of national service it has to have some sort of production, the people need to leave it with some benefit rather than just being fit or having been beasted for two years.

on a side note ladyboys are exempt from service as they are seen by the army to be mental and they even get a medical certificate which stays with them for life stating this, it doesnt help when they then try to find employment.

now my views on the thugs, going back to my police days it was obvious where the problem lies, we can all point fingers at the government but the buck stops with the parents, i saw it many times, the bad adults have bad children, who then go on to have bad children as there is no discipline.

in my opinion if a child is found guilty of an offence then the parent or guardian should also be punished for that offence, if the child id out and drunk at 11pm and gives someone a kicking then the parents should also be responsible for that.

f*ck civil liberties now, its all very well being pc when you dont live in an inner city surrounded by these c*nts.

I will hold my hand up and say i saw many beatings dished out in the police, not to joe public but to the repeat offenders, we knew the courts would let us down so it was a way of deterring them in the future, it worked with many failed with many.

its all very well blaming blair (who isnt scottish lando) and brown, we can even go back to the conservative government because it was just as bad then but less highlighted, but once again the people of britain will be shafted because of the mindset thats forced on them now, scared of being accused of being racist, scared of being called a grass etc.

i can say hand on heart that the 'do gooders' have caused more problems than they have solved

Thats the best idea of them all, I have thought about setting that up where I live, I know exactly who to target . Make them afraid of hanging around the streets at night, and at the same time help the people who are afraid of going out because of them.

Most teenagers that are f*cked up are on the way to loserville by the age of 10, due to parents.

A lot more children should be taken off their parents at a very young age (preferably under 5) and given to the loads of good married heterosexual couples that can't have children. They would raise them with good values.

There is no quick fix solution for the mess this country finds itself in, there are so many things fundamentally wrong with it that it almost needs a priest, not a surgeon to give it a fighting chance.

We live a welfare state that rewards the people who exploit the loopholes, where a teenage girl who's only skill is getting knocked up every 12 months is entitled to more than the honest grafters who have to fight and scrape for every penny they earn. In turn this grinds them down, "wheres my house and car, and designer clothes?" they say, whilst drowning away life in some nightclub with there mates, and drinking themselves into a state where only a fight or a fock will satisfy there disillusionment. In turn cracks appear in there own lives,they marry and start families but the anger is still there eating away,eventually love turns to doubt, from doubt to resentment and from resentment to hate.

Because we as a people are never truely happy, we never have as much as the next person, a characteristic fuelled by the media to make us spend more, buy more useless :censored:

we don't need, to fill the void that is there now that faith and religion have been "proven" to be hogswash. We are born, we live, we die. Thats it, but at least I had Sky+ and a Ford Mondeo, now put the lid on and drop me in the ground

So as this cycle is repeated up and down the country it infects more and more, people stop caring about each other and worry only about themselves, often striking out at others in a vain hope of inflicting pain to rival there own, the streets arn't a safe place for the vunerable to be, lawlessness takes hold and finally...................................................................................

curfews should be implemented. in singapore no kid below 16 is allowed to stay out in public after 11pm. im not saying that it works all the time i mean those kids still breach the rules but that's a start.
