Does this decision impinge on some European-freedom of trade- work type thing...

"The hearing concluded that the written letter Heinze possessed 'was unambiguous in that it envisages only an international transfer'".

That's the rub. I must admit I would be surprised if Man U had been so stupid as to write a letter that gave him the easy way out he was looking for. They're a lot smarter than that.

Boll#cks to looking elsewhere. Rafa wants Heinze, and Heinze has gone through more than any other player has ever done to come here. Rafa will wait, I'd be amazed if he didn't.

I still reckon one way or another, he'll be playing for us this season.

legally I think it was the correct decision, a letter is not  a contract.

Also, on a football front, I don'w want a 30 year old full back not good enough for manure first team for nearly 7m.

I also like the unwritten rule of nobody going between the two clubs.

Delighted.

Even if he cant read English you'd think his advisers can.

I've a feeling there could be a twist to this saga yet.  Heinze clearly wants to join Liverpool and if Rafa really wants him I reckon they will find a way of making the move possible one way or the other.

What annoys me about this is that whiskey nosed b@stard has no problem selling his players to the bitters though does he.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Not gonna happen now, he'll end up getting sold to Lyon or Juventus.

I think Bentiez will have a plan B even thought he said he hasn't looked for anyone else

All the more reason to shut these up once and for all by what we do on the pitch.

It looks like it would take heaven and earth to sign the guy, and the length of the process may leave us with no alternative left back/centre back.

The card they played came off, some people suggested the letter was binding and 'in effect a contract', well that has turned out not to be the case.

I think your right Maxi, Ive read that players over a certain age can buy themselves out of contracts with 2yrs or less for a certain period of each transfer window, hope he digs his heels in and sits tight for about 6 months "injured", In fact, somebody give him Harry Kewells number, he can tell him how to miss a swift 6 months with a cracked toenail or acute halitosis
