This is a rumour and belongs in the rumour section.

At the very least you could of searched and put it in the 20 page long peter Crouch thread.

Rafa is correct in that is mere speculation. Even if it did appear on SKY then that would give it no more credibility in all honesty. Given that it belongs in here.

I haven't watched any football this weekend and has not had Sky Sports News on at all so I did not see the said speculation about Crouchie going to Tottenham, but thats all it is. Speculation.

Rafa sees Crouch as a big part of his plans - he paid 7m for him when he was untried at this level and I feel Rafa knows Crouch is a major part of his squad. He is our only target man, and his performance against Chelsea was text book. His heading is poor granted, but his ability to hold the ball up and play it off is second to no-one. If Spurs wanted him

a) They would have to put in a very high offer just for Rafa to consider it . (12m plus)

and

b) Why would Crouch go? He is our top scorer and gets on very well with all the squad here. By all accounts he is "one of the boys" along with Jamie and Gerrard so i can't see him wanting to leave.

yeah i agree, can't see him goin anywhere either, just thought that i'd report what i'd seen, i like the lad myself and loved watching when him, Kuyt an Bellamy were in the squad together at Watford, hioe he continues to do us proud and maybe works on his heading power a bit.

he was a premier league player so what level do you mean mate?

do you mean at a big club?

Yes, he played premier league but was untested in Europe and at a "big" club. He has handled the transaction very nicely.

yeah, i think he has performed well on a bigger stage, i only have two critisicms, his heading at goal is dire, and his inclusion usually means us playing a long ball game which i detest (the second one is not crouches fault, thats the managers choice to play that way), however when he is partnered up front we look ok and can can play a good build up rather than lumping the ball forward.

i have been surprised by his skill on the ground, and some of his finishing has been very good.

i see crouch as a good addition to the club and i dont want to see him sold as he does give us that other option of the long game (even though i detest it, its schoolboy football)
