Bob Paisley is often overlooked for what he achieved at Liverpool. Not only is he Britains most successful manager but lets not forget what else he did for the club. He brought in players such Dalgliesh, Hansan, Souness, his first signing of Phil Neal.

One man who disagrees with Bob Paisley recieving a knighthood is a big chinned feller on Sky by the name of Jimmy Hill. He thinks Fergie is a better manager because it's harder to win the champions league now then when Bob won it 3 times. (to fergie's 1).

Bob deserves a knighthood and it's about time to.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Nobody would disagree with this.

But I have to agree with Chinny when he says its harder to win the CL now than before.  It stands to reason, it now has a league element in it, which means you have to perform over a greater number of games.  The league, after all, is the most difficult trophy to win.

I'd rather the CL went back to the old format of just having the champions from each country (the CHAMPIONS league is a hideous misnomer), that way the UEFA Cup would have more prestige like it used to have.  But there's no way Ford and the other sponsors are gonna agree to there being less games, so there's no chance of UEFA changing it, too much money at stake.

Money and greed is the root of all evil.  The FA needs to pull its finger out over the next 20 years, spread the money about much more, otherwise the English game will be like Scotland - predictably dull in the top division and irrelevant in every other division.

Didn't Chinny also think that the Romanian dye-job was a good idea?

If he wishes to discount the pre-Champions League era, then he's marginalising some great teams and great names.
