last season was our best season in the premiership for many years

last season we had 4 quality centre mids..gerrard, alonso, sissoko, hamann

this season we have 3.....gerrard,alonso, sissoko

I think its improbable that he would come but Nikolas Anelka could be a realistic target. Hes openly said ovr the years how hes wanted to come back here and his 2 goals yesterday will have shown a few people that he hasnt lost it. The question now remains if he can keep up that sort of form for the rest of the season.

The reason I say this is because I have a feeling that we may lose at least one of our strikers at the end of this season.

Although he hasnt played badley he hasnt exactly been topign the scoring charts either and with possible investment by the end of this season, the preassure will be on even more next year to push for honours and I think Rafa will ship out anyone who he thinks cant make the cut.

I can perhaps see Rafa selling Bellamy and therfore we will need a replacment.

Not really bothered about big signing this January, just want a right back to cover Finnan and a 4th choice central midfield player to cover Gerrard, Alonso and Sissoko. Let that squad become more settled from Jan-May, and then use our budget on 2 or 3 significant signing in the summer rather than spreading it over 6 or 7 players like we have had to do in recent seasons.

Samoza? I heard the Indian national team want him to acquire dual nationality so he could be a starter for them.
