PSV EINDHOVEN VS LIVERPOOL - Time to buck up lads

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

At last a welcome clean sheet and happy with the result. Agger just gets better and better. Surely his time has come now and he should be in against Chelsea. Bellamy and Kuyt worked so hard and if them two had been playing the bitters it could have been a different story.

After what i thought was a strange team selection i think Rafa got it right with the Chelsea game around the corner. Its not a bad thing picking up a point away in the cl when im sure we will pick up max points in the home games. :)

Oh well we could have won this game and got 3 points, but we have 1 point and a clean sheet.
Clean sheet needed for confidence yes, but we could have have beat them tonight.
I hope this one does not go down to the wire against Galatasry becuase we need to win this group before we even step foot off the plane in Istanbul.

Middling performance. With a bit more positivity we could definitely have beaten them, but there were some pluses. Agger looked very good again, and the Kuyt-Bellamy partnership is showing some good early signs.

adam, i was quite :censored: while watching us unable to kill PSV off today, they arent any great side which is a fact and our performance of unable to control the game made me shook my head time and time again when we lose the ball in silly positions. Therefore, Pennant who lost the ball quite a number of times :censored: me and his lack of flair whenever he has the ball made me think that we signed the wrong person. I also do hope he will prove me wrong soon as he's our only RW at the moment

I don't know why a lot of people are describing this as a good result, IMO it is anything but. We're not Newcastle FFS, we're LFC, and should be looking to beat teams like this home or away.

I think Gerrard or Alonso should've started the game. I really don't think Zenden cuts the mustard, and Momo, great as he is, is only gonna break up the play and play the simple ball to someone who can provide a killer pass. Zenden is not that man.

IMO Momo & Zenden cannot play together, you need Stevie or Xabi in there with one of them, and I think they proved it tonight.

a clean sheet is the only positive i though we were poor the possesion says it all. kuyt and Bellamy have to start more often together. definately not a good result though PSV are very average the last thing we want is having to get points in istanbul.
