If you hadnt have lost to Portugal and drew with Angola then you would not have had to face Argentina, granted you would still be out as Holland are also better than Mexico....but it would save all the excuses.

Second round sent packing again, the most games lost in world cups by any nation :rasp

You claim you want England to win and then at every oppurtunity stick the boot in. We are far better than Mexico and always will be.....get over it.

I don't stick the boot in, I'm stating fact. You're still in yes, which is very good and the fact you've not played your best football and still won does speak volumes for your team. However you've not been tried and tested against the big nations like Germany, Argentina, Brazil and your first real test will be Portugal and the fact that Scolari knows how you're team operates in side out, is a problem for you. Yes Mexico are out in the second round as usual, but we can take pride in more than matching Argentina thru out the entire 120 minutes.

Maybe England are better, but you're ever so boring to watch and I'd go as far as saying along with the refs and Fifa, England have ruined this World Cup as a spectacle. :no

Id rather us be boring and win than play great and get beat. Fifa and the rest can get to feck they are alright making millions from England fans in the WC no one else buys ale the Germans dont want the english to leave BTW for the money they are spending.

Then you do not appreciate good football. I know many England fans who are simply embarrassed by watching England play. I'd agree I'm embarrassed for you, I also acknowledge that you have players like Gerrard, Rooney, Cole and Crouch who can create more chances and score more goals but for some reason, you can't find the net. You're very one dimensional as well which isn't good when you're going go up against great tacticans like Pekerman and Scolari. And I will watch England, I couldn't miss a great match between England vs Portugal now could I? I'd also like to see if Sven is going to take more risks with his subs this time around and I want to see if Scolari can scalp England for the 3rd time. :laugh:

I'm not bitter, the World Cup is the greatest football competition in the world of football, where teams are supposed to entertain and display good football and every team has done that so far, apart from England. You play negative tactics, which means you're not entertaining, yourselves or the neutral spectator. You're bringing the level of enjoyment down in this World Cup. It's shame really when you have great attacking ability. I hope for your sakes you don't score too early in the game tomorrow, I don't want to watch 70+ minutes of England sitting back on a one goal lead.

Every football fan would admit the worst games all tournament have basically been ones where england are involved. its embarressing when you look at our team compared to our style of play.

id rather give it a proper go and lose than play like this, because like or not, if england keep playing like this and win the world cup it would be a travesty

Like Spain and the Czechs for instance?
Both played attacking wonderful football, the Czechs where actually in with a shout of winning it, and Spain, look what happened to them the players are on there holidays now.
I do agree we can play better Dawson but as long as we show a couple of good performances from now till the final (hopefuilly) I wont be bothered.

Cos nobody else does, and thats including Sven and the players.

With better management we would be playing better football i am convinced of that.
We are where we are in spite of the tactically inept manager we have for 2 reasons, 1) we have had an easy draw
2) We have some world class players.

If we carried on playing sh!te and won the tournament i wouldnt care less....you can spout all the sh!te you like about it being bad for football, but football has always had sides that just done enough and won....it doesnt ruin the game, winning is the be all and end all.

Well Scolari has beaten you lot and Sven twice in four years, that's not exaclty by coincidence is it? With better management you might well be playing better football, however Sven's not all bad is he, I mean he's gotten you lot to three str8 QF's, even if he is tactically inept, so he's not all bad.

You have had an easy draw, but in your defence you can only beat what's in front of you, I'm sure you would wanted to draw better teams than you have so far but that's not a problem and I will give England credit where it's due, you've beaten teams without playing to your best, that does indeed speak volumes. And you don't have a few World Class player, you have a whole team of world class players. However England have always played a high pressing game and prided itself on attacking flowing football and now you're not doing that you're so negative, it's unreal and as Dawson says it will be ashame to see England win it if they continue to play this boring, dull and lifeless football, however I don't think you will win it if you continue to play like this, that's a fact.

If you think you can sit back and defend against Argentina and the likes, you will get hammered.
