Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Having watched the game on the T.V or from your seat at Old Trafford (you lucky bast'ard) who in your opinion was our best player during that semi final match against Chelsea?

For me, it has to be Harry Kewell.

He's showing what we've been wanting to see for such a long time and in my opinion has laid any doubts about his ability to rest.

Caused the Chelsea defence plenty of problems and made Geremi look like a 7 million dollar training cone.

I just hope that injury was minor.

Doing very well for us at the moment and I sure dont want it to end so soon because of another injury.

AGAIN..  :D

Had to be kewell, Geremi couldnt keep up with him. Garcia did his usual, has me slaging him off shouting like mad at the screen then pops up with a great goal

Kewell was man of the match by a long way imo.  He was unplayable and that's his best performance for LFC so far.  We always knew he had the talent and since Christmas he has been showing it.  Where are the :censored: with their anti-Kewell threads now?  Clueless w@nkers

Kewell was my man of the match, but alonso was also class yesterday, i dont think he misplaced one pass all game, but it was a great performance by the midfield in general, really dominated the chelsea midfield.

anyone notice how the grossly overated Lampard was once again anonymous against us, completely shown up by our far superior central midfielders.

Lampard is the reason England have no chance of winning the world cup.  He is massively overrated - can't do the simple parts of midfield play well enough - ie pass and tackle.  He has never been able to control a game and all he has in his locker is a good shot.  If the media weren't so far up his hole there is no way he would be a starter for England.

Kewell was utterly mesmerising yesterday. Every time he got the ball, something happened for us. I don't think he got caught in possession once. Maybe it would have been different if it hadn't been Geremi up against him, but to be honest I think anyone would have struggled with him yesterday.

He still looks half a stone heavy, but so long as he ends the World Cup injury free, I think he's going to make it very difficult for Gonzalez to lay claim to the left wing. The confidence is back, the pace is almost all back, and probably as importantly he's now a player with the crowd behind him.

Best player?  Harry Kewell for me.

He had a blinder, running at the defenders, tracking back defending and switching wings.  And we got it right, Geremi and Ferriera were the weak links yesterday.  I was shocked Joe Cole never started, Mourinho was outsmarted yesterday.  Del Horno is another weak link.  I'm expecting to push these shithouses all the way next year.

Mourinho outsmarted?  He didn't have to be outsmarted, he screwed himself over with his decisions yesterday.  Benitez simply played his best players in their best positions and subsequently won the game, he didn't have to do anything fancy.
