Liverpool fc - Where we'll finish next season.....?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

It is now obvious Liverpool want to finish in the top 3 next season. We don't know yet what new assets will make the way into liverpool apart from Cisse who is coming and Mexes who might be coming. We could also get Joey Barton and Sean-Wright Philips.

I can only hope whatever signings we make become very successful next season e.g. Cisse

What do you guys think what position we will finish in the league table and how do you think these signing will fair.

Is this a joke or something? You call yourself a Liverpool supporter yet you beleive its the aim of the club to finish in the top three? And you also say it is only now that it has become obvious to you.

Give me a f##king break will you. The aim must be to finish first in every competition or iy just aint worth the effort. Never has LFC aimed to be an also ran. OK this season we can mathematically only finish fourth at best, but we did not set off the season to simply finish near the top.

U R KIDDING RIGHT ?

Leonn, i think it maybe said tongue in cheek or with a hint of sarcasm. the problem is its difficult to say as you can't enunciate while writing. i think chigz has posted enough to know better that to spout drivel

surely top three is quite an ambition for even the next couple of seasons? Leon, it looks like you need a pragmatism pill. Be happy with your history (but don't go on about it, peewee is my housemate and it's tedious) and hope Houllier goes to restore your chances of a future

If GH is still around then it'll be a carbon copy of this season - battling right down to the wire to achieve the glory that is 4th position. A new manager (assuming he's the right candidate) could have us pushing the a#se all season but I think it would be "Dear Norris....." time if we won it next season.

leon, maclad uses long words like 'haemaphrodite' . he is just a sad c#nt who supports chelsea as he is southern and would have got beat up in his public school if he supported a Northern club. he gets jealous because at least we have a history, it upsets him when i point out that the have not won anything this season, just like us. oh,and apparently he has a small penis  :D

think we'll close the gap on the current top 3 but still finsih 4th with GH in charge( which is looking likely).

I think we will be playing some better football next season with some new signings to strengthen the squad and finishing about 10-15 points off the eventual champions.

I would love to say we will win the title next season and although I try to remain optimistic I don't believe GH can do it.

So my prediction, 4th and GH out at the end of next season (hopefully sooner, but i can't see it unfortunately)

I was Mclad, unsure of the meaning of the word pragmatic, so I decided to do a little homework.

Pragmatic : Dealing or concerned with facts or actual occurrences; practical.

I now understand, and I will now deal in facts  ......

Liverpool have won the European Cup on four seperate occasions.

Chelski have one the European Cup on zero seperate occasions.

Liverpool have been first division champions on eighteen seperate occasions.

Chelski have been first division champions on one seperate occasion.

Liverpool have won the F.A. Cup on six seperate occasions.

Chelski have won the F.A. Cup on three seperate occasions.

Is that enough facts for you or should I go on..............

Liverpool have won the league cup on seven seperate occasions.

Chelski have won the league cup on two seperate occasions.

Liverpool have been top flight runners up on eleven seperate occasions.

Chelski have been top flight runners up on zero seperate occasions.

So f##k off college boy and stick your pragmatism up your a#se.

And before you start, you have won as much as us this year, f##k all.
