My thoughts exactly, Rafa is way off the mark and this season we will only be mid table and were will that leave us considering we sacked a manager for getting higher than that.

Just watch the slide down the table before your very eyes, and least yer had the guts to say what you think while the more established herd only come out when its politically correct.

Only posted a few times so that should attract the herd.

Please, have mercy on me. I've been out of TV and computer because my girlfriend wanted that she and I were together. And I've heard in a bar while taking a coffee, that Pires from Arsenal had done the most ridiculous penalty kick ever. Is that right? Is that true that they tried to throw it indirect? Please comment, I know that it's off topic, but I'm footballistically curious! (I'll read the posts about Fulham disaster now, there's lots!)

mate, you have got to be a bluenose. with your kind of logic we would have sacked bob paisley every season he was in charge. we weren`t front runners and in fact a "nervous november" where we went on a bad run of results was a annual occurence years ago.
we are not talking about a manager like mourinho who inherited a side who finished second, reached the semi`s of the champions league and has a backer with more money than sense, we are talking about a manager who inherited a side that was devoid of confidence to the extent where they couldnt string three passess together without hoofing it, and a side that went on the clubs worst run of results in the modern era, a side that never overturned a 1 goal deficit in two years, a side littered with overpriced faliures that drained the clubs finances, and a side in which our two best players wanted to bail out etc, etc.
within one year of taking over this mess benitez performs a water into wine type miracle and wins the champions league, the biggest prize in club football. but now people expect him within the same year to create a title winning side to keep pace with a chelsea team that hasnt lost!!
life doesnt work like that and no matter how hard you stamp your feet or sulk its about time all the mummy`s little soldiers on here started to grow up and realise that our best chance of winning the league lies with rafa and even if he wins it in his fifth year here that would be another massive miracle. and i mean massive. i could understand some of these posts being written in the mid eighties where constant success over a sustained period can make you think you have some sort of divine right to trophys but unless you lot have been in a philidelphia experiment style timewarp or something we havent won the league for fifteen years and you expect rafa to win it in his first couple.
its not just on the pitch that this club has lost its way in the last fifteen years its in the stands too.

Why Rafa bought only Spanish player's. Now Liverpool is a spanish club.

Liverpool is not a Spanish club. It is placed in the North-Westish of ENGLAND, near that other ENGLISH (or should that be American to you?) club Manchester United

A shocking result...but not the first of it's kind in recent years.

Easy to knee jerk a reaction born out of frustration and anger....but think about it.

I imagine the Manure forum was full of threads like this when Blackbun beat them last week..and that was Old Trafford!!!

We are not playing well at the minute, and it feels like the season has just not got going.

If Rafa gets the same amount of time it took Ferguson to build a league winning side, then I'm sure he'll do it.

It does seem weird that Wigan are many points ahread of us, but that's because we've only played 8 games. Come May I'm sure that won't be the case.

I do wish that Rafa would pick his best 11 and stick with the core of that 11 for a few games in a row, and then see what happens. The players must wonder wtf is going on...as do the fans.

A bad team DOES NOT win the CL.....when it comes together in the league, this will be a distant memory.

none of us are over the moon but to give rafa so much stick is out of order,
hes had a lot of setbacks and some of the signings havnte lived up to expectations
lets just hold our nerve and give things a bit more time

this embarassing run of games, just shows you what happens if you don't reinforce your team properly in the summer, seeing as we only bought Sissoko and zenden, both who are average in my book. and crouch is a joke.

We were supposed to be challenging for the league this year, instead ..welcome to the LFC muppet show.
We wont win the champions league, as we dont have the quality to retain it, and should therefore be focusing solely on the league.
We'll be very lucky to finish in the top 4 this time, VERY LUCKY!
Anyone who says, don't get on the bandwaggon, need shooting. it's obvious there are major problems attacking.

The reason we wont finish 4th , is because we don't look like we can put a run of wins together to gt up the table, to save our lives!!!

Rafa get yer act together. Dont think you are in the comfort zone cause you won the CL. we were very lucky to do so.
