I've given him the benefit of the doubt because of his pedigree, but the game in England is too quick for Morientes. His first touch and control are great, but he has less time to do something with his 2nd than he is used to and gets caught every time. Maybe he'd get more free kicks in Spain, but he aint getting them in the premiership.

How Rafa persists with Josemi and Traore is beyond me. How many times do you see the fullbacks at Chelsea, mU or Arsenal getting crosses in. How many times do we play Traore into space and he cant take the ball forward. And the way we defend, these guys are just not sharp enough to play in that system. What was Josemi dreaming about for the 1st goal? He was facing the play when the centrebacks were pushing out.

Stop playing these players. They are costing us points.

I'm tired of watching the same mistakes over and over again.

get over it. Dont be like chelsea fans. Accept defeat with dignity and move on. The two goals were offside goals. Yet all our strikers couldnt finish. Thats weakness.

Getting beaten by Fulham is fine. We move on now.

In fact I am very happy Chelsea drew with Everton who is at the bottom of the table. I am more concerned about Chelsea winning than Liverpool loosing. I hate those :censored:...

Can you imagine Jose Morinho refuses to accept the defeat. He said for him his team won the match.

Dont be like them. Some times we win and at times we loose. Take it on your chin and move on as professional football fans.

I think there is a lot of over reaction at the moment as the results are not going for us.  But to see the real picture you need to look at the stats for the games we have played.

So far this year we have constantly created lots of chances without turning them into goals.  Our strikers, IMO, are not really good enough, but if you look at their individual records thay have all scored plenty of goals.  Morientes is classed as one of the best strikers in the world and Cisse has constantly scored 20+ goals a season. So when Raffa was looking at his squad he would have thought goals where pretty much guaranteed.

All strikers go through patches where they are not scoring, unfortunately all ours are going through one at the moment.  The important thing is we are creating chances.. goals will come.. sooner, hopefully, rather than later.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

All I can say about the whole 'we're going down the pan' thing is that we should just wait until the end of the season before we make any harsh assesments.

I never seen the match the other day (glad I didn't!) but wasn't happy with the line-up when I read it in the paper. As Carra said, we need to buck our ideas up.

I think most of our problems arise from the fact that our strikers are unfamiliar with each other.  Rafa should play 2 up front, and if he's going to rotate, then rotate the 2 players at once - keeping the same 2 players in the partnership (barring injury).  Strikers need to have almost psychic understanding of their partners.
