A totally new manager, or someone... - ...that knows the club and players ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I see in an other posting that it`s better to make changes now. This will make it possible for a new manager to assess the squad etc.
But I think it`s better to wait till summer, and use the time now to FIND the RIGHT MAN for the job! I also think he ought to know the club and its culture ! And know the players a bit !

People having been posting about the need for a new manager since October.

Unfortunately I have a nasty feeling that we'll be posting again about Houllier, Heskey and Biscan next October.  :(

So who would you go for Thor ?
After Celtics result last night the case for M O'Neil looks even stronger. ???

I have stated earlier that I think Phil Thompson should get the job. I think he did well while filling in for GH when.
But I`m a "very" outsider and don`t know enough to have very strong opinions. I don`t lead a daily LFC life !

I don`t question the need for a new manager ! I simply ask if it`s better with a complete stranger rather than one more
"familiar" ?

What about Roger Lemerre!
He won last Euro; He won the last African Cup of Nations with Tunisia
and he can be as good has Sir Houllier.

Lemerre would be a really tipycal liverpool Mgr

I wouldn't rule him out , he did do a good job when Houllier was away. But there are times when a club needs a big shake up and that usually requires someone to come in from the outside. :)

The club could be in need of an injection of fresh ideas.
