Hopefully we can have Steed Malbraque, Owen and a Center Half tied up before the next game.

doubt it very much.
i think we'll sign them after the CSKA sofia game, after we get the champions league money.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

The "Red Tape" could be Benitez being stubborn to sign him.
Anybody who is true a true Red wants Owen back, therfore forcing Benitez'zzzz hand.
Because it's not his entire decision, I think he will be darn stuborn.
But if Man Ure were to get him, I would never forgive Beni.
Just imagine him banging in goals with United, and that traitor Rooney feeding him. 30+ prem goals in a Manc shirt i tell thee.
Owen is a gem, better than any striker we have at the club.

i`ve never thought owen was useless mate, in fact i actually had an argument with some fella i didnt know from adam in the centenary once who was slagging him when he was still playing for us.
i backed him when he missed easy chances, i backed him when he missed one on ones, i backed him when he took penalties like a big jesse (and believe me when a thousand people around you are shouting "why dont you f@ck off you little sh.1t" its not easy) and i backed him when people were saying he`s not trying, he`s going through the motions, he`s not as good as van nistelrooy, he`s not as good as henry, he`s not as good as shearer etc. etc.
but when he left and it looked like the club could go into freefall i felt betrayed, i honestly did. i thought after all the flak i took backing him he does that well good riddance.
i`ve calmed down a bit now and i know we do need him back to be genuine title contenders. but it still hurt when he f@cked off on us.

Does any one think the reason Rafa might be relcultant to sign him maybe because he wont fit into his style of play, espically away from home. You know the big man up top, gettin the knock downs. And Owen maybe become fustrated at not playing every game.

IMO i think that if a player of his calibur becomes avalible you do ur best to sign him and alter your stlye of play if your sure you still can get the results.

I am slightly against the deal if Rafas getting pushed into it, although if he is but owen score 20 odd goals then rafa will realise that it was a good signing.

And correct me if im wrong, but has owen ever score 20+ in the prem, im sure the most is 18?, still great figures i no.

I for one would like to see Mickey back but not at the expense of the man who bought us back the european cup.

I can't think for one momment that Rafa would not want Owen back. Anyway I would say that Rafa and the chairman have agreed on Owen because why, if Rafa was unhappy about it, has he signed the 2 Spannish teenagers, he's obviously thinking of the future, with LIVERPOOL!

i cant believe for 1 minute that when benitez first came the club he wanted to sell michael, i think he pleaded with him to stay but michael wanted off. it had nothing to do with rafa not wanting him because of his playing style imo.
michael is the ideal foil for a big man because his game is based on playing off the shoulder of the last man and pouncing on anything loose. in fact if he does sign we saw a little cameo of owen and crouchy playing for england in the states when peter layed michael on for a well worked goal.
you mention michael not getting over 20 goals but considering the negativity of the team he was playing for anything over 10 a season is a minor miracle. he would score a lot more in this side thats for sure.
lastly if other people in the club are putting the arm on rafa to buy michael i am sure they are doing it properly, they know we touched lucky in getting rafa and wouldnt risk losing him for the sake of a player. parry and moores are probably saying to rafa he`s a nice lad and not a moments trouble, loves the club and came through the youth system here but rafa just caught michael when he had had enough of chasing long balls and was on a personal low, and rafa wont regret re signing him once he gets to know michael. i imagine its that sort of thing they`re saying.
