THE MICHAEL OWEN THREAD - all owen talk here from now on please

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby ALONSO_14 » Thu Aug 04, 2005 12:45 pm

of course michael owen regrets leaving liverpool, he leaves and we win the champions league, now he wants to come back because he know he made the wrong decision when he left.

all you people on here saying we ont want owen back because he left us and isnt loyal to us etc. FFS! there is no loyalty in football today, i dont blame owen for choosing to move to real when the chance came to him, its one of the best clubs a player could possibly be at for winning things and being as successful as they could possibly be which owen believed he could achieve although he was wrong since we won the CL right after he left  :D  he will be guaranteed to get us a hell of a lot of goals in a season and it would be better for us to have him than send him  somewhere else to get 20+ goals a season for man u or newcastle and score hat tricks against us in the league

i would love to see owen back but saying that, owen actually coming back here is a long shot, it most likely wont happen at all, there is nothing much to say that it will at the moment

After the FC Kaunas second leg Rafa was asked what was happening in the transfer market - he said that he is looking for a CB and RM to strengthen positions. The Interviewer said  - does this mean Michael Owen is out of the question? To which Rafa replied all i'm not saying that i'm saying we are looking for a CB and a RM.

At no point have Liverpool ruled out a move for Michael Owen

well the guardian today says sven has told owen he wont be dropped if he stays at madrid and doesnt play all the time. this may benefit englands world cup hopes cos hell be fresh but makes it more likely he will stay at real i suppose

I don't know whether he would stay at Madrid, true he'll be fresh but inversely he'll be less sharp. If there's one thing you don't want to be before a world cup is a yard of the pace

Michael Owen is 5th choice striker at Real Madrid. Personally i think he is on the way back here, if not by the end of August then in January.
