It has been discussed before, ages ago, but Owen Hargreaves is now in the last 12 months of his contract and the only thing keeping him in Germany is the chance of European Footy. He's snubbed a move to Boro.

Now is he Over rated? Under rated? is he worth a pop?

On the plus side he wouldn't cost much, can play central or right sided which is good for our needs right now and he's an international. He works hard and I'd prefer him to be in for when Gerrard is "Rested" than I would Sissoko. He wouldn't really be a 1st eleven starter but a very good squad player with experience and enough quality to play for the German Champions and England, for a cheap fee. He could then provide back-up for Figo (if he ever comes)

before we signed sissoko i would have said yes but now i dont think we need him. not a specialist right sided mid which is what we need most right now (aswell as centre half)

We have signed Sissoko so we really dont need Hargreaves even though he is a very versitile player. I've heard that he would cost 2.5 million pounds but I don't think he would get much time on the pitch as we have Alonso,Gerrard,Hamann and Sissoko.

We have Sissisko so cant just put him on the bench all the time. Hargreaves would be mroe expensive than Sissisko i suppose, and he plays in the same position w/ alonso, gerrard, sis, hamann in CM. He can play out right but he is not a winger that Rafa is looking for. Not a good buy.

hargreaves not now,rafa rates sissoko very highly,plus there,s no room for him now anyway with our strong midfield

Hargreaves is a very mediocre player, I've watched him in bayern and he didn't impress me in any way, for me he's not good enough to play at Anfield.

Because Hargreaves has 12 months left on his contract he would cost 2 million where as Sissoko cost us 5.
