They play TNS wek on Wed so we will all know by then. In my heart i hope he stays but yest we did win more games without him and the money could bring in thye likes of Pablo Aimar and Joaquin but did you just see SPN.

Guilem Basqgue was just doing a phone in ( hes a good friend of RB and is currently writing an autobiographyical book on the last 12 months at Liverpool) and he was just saying RB last spoke to SG on Sat and basicalle said, "think about it, we want you ect...." and he said RB is no villain in this. He has stressd time and time again. The real culprits here are the Spanish press who are reportedly leaking stories to the media to damage SG's relationship with Liverpool. The same way they did with Zidane, Figo and Ronaldo.

i guess we'll find out at the press conference (due for lunch 12 or 1) what Rafa thinks about all this.....i really find it hard to believe that Stevie wants out because his contract talks are taking a week longer than expected.

DO NOT blame Liverpool FC for this fiasco - It's been engineered by the same parasite as ever THE Fryggyn Agents. Gerrards off, but the 12 month delay has just been a hiccup in the agents overall plan.
He wil now leave pointing fingers at the management when in his heart of hearts HE knows that Raffa is the man to bring LFC back to where they should be. All he had to do was stay put and follow the plan but obviouly HE knows better.

Even i agree that SG may be fustrated slightly but come on if he really wanted to leave he would have done last year. And the fact that hes one the biggest trophey of the lot in his first season as captian is only gonna work in LFC favour.

I think clubs like Real Madrid know how to maipulate the media in their favour. They have done it time and time again and im praying they dont pull it off again.

it's obvious that the vision that rafa has, and the team he wants to build does not involve steven gerrard anyway. if stevie g happened to still be here a couple of years down the line, that would be a bonus.

don't get me wrong, stevie g is a fantastic player but i just don't think that he would fit into the system that rafa wants to use.

those of you who watched valencia when rafa was there will know that he always preferred a 4-2-3-1 system. if you ask me he wants to do exactly the same here. now you look at the two sitting midfielders. alonso is a shoe in for one of these positions and you would have thought didi hamann would be the other. playing gerrard here would just waste his talent (almost like what seems to happen for england). further up the pitch, benitez wants to use morientes just behind a lone striker with support from garcia, kewell etc.

I cant be doing with this every couple off months, Ill be glad if Rafa does want him out. At least we wont have this distraction again.
