I heard Alonso will be available. great news, as he is real quality, and we will need as much of that as we can get against Juve. Juve have a knack for losing the away leg and then playing brilliantly in the home leg. It's going to be tough! especially for us fans of Juve AND Liverpool

Finnan  Hyypia  Carragher  Warnock/Traore

Garcia  Gerrard  Alonso  Riise

                 Baros

Subs: Carson, Nunez, Le Tallec, Smicer, Traore/Warnock, Potter, Welsh.

With a 451 system, we need to control the midfield properly and be more organised. There is a very chance we will recieve a hostile reception.

I agree with Militia's starting lineup.
We shouldn't let them get through our midfield and just let Baros pressure them up front.. if we're lucky, we'll just steal an away goal..

I also agree with militias line up but only as there is no other striking options to stretch them. Baros will do that with his pace and direct running...but the amount of posession he concedes is worrying. We need to keep the ball for continued spells away to take the pressure off at times and i am not convinced we can do that. It will take a 100 % improvement from Baros an i think Benitez needs to pull him aside before the game to tell him the exact job he needs to do for the team. Alonso will play if he comes through the expected half hour or so against City an he will really help the midfield control posession better.

the posession game is worrying me. even in the 1st half at Anfield, they had more posession. and when a team like Juve gets the ball, they will score. hopefully Alonso will help that. any other strikers that might be fit? Mellor by any chance?

No Mellor an Pongolle out for the season...but Morientes should be able to play, he is not fit and has struggled to cope with the pace of the Premiership a bit, but he would keep the ball better than Baros. Cisse is back training but i cant see him being risked for a while we would be better letting him make sure the leg is strong and fully healed before risking him.

i dont think so
first all juventus fans can read 'em....and came there to fight u....lungo dora is pretty long and the dont say in which point...u must think that u are supposed to be there walking while juventini has got cars and motorbike to move quiclky.
I would NOT go to the stadium from the towncenter by pubblic transport. (do not use the line number 9!! it ends right in the middle of juventini's curva scirea)
the sector est3 is the right one....u can find a stadium map on the juventus website (i guess)...but they say that some travel agency sold u tickets for different sector (in that case, Go as well to EST3 even if u have a wrong ticket...they will let u get in)

As a Real Madrid fan (apart from LFC of course  lol) I can say from our two last visits to Turin that u definitely have to scored a a goal...in my opinion itd turn them off...on the contrary, if u dondt do so they will press and press till they score at the end, they are really lucky and Capello, as we say here in spain, has a flower in the ****** (lol...meaning hes really lucky). He is gonna plan a tactic match and, keeping in mind they only have to score a goal to go through, he will be happy to be 0-0 even with just 5 minutes left...that´s Italian football....grrrr. You have to beat them out, U r gonna have a great support form Spain too...u must know it so...more than ever...YOU´LL NEVER WALK ALONE.
PS.-Alonso coming back is definitely excellent news!!!

Honestly,
What are you talking about???
In the 2003 meeting, we literally crushed you in Turin, being 3-0 after an hour, and it could have been 5 or 6-0....
You scored your goal at 89th minute.
In last month meeting we definitely outplayed you. We just didn't crush you like 2 years ago because the 0-1 in Madrid was a much more dangerous result than the 1-2. If you allow an away goal after a 1-2 you still have good chances. If you allow an away goal after a 0-1 you are in deep sh!t.
Anyways, we still outplayed with your only shots on goal coming on a Ronaldo counter-attack and on a R.Carlos free kick.
Same thing happened in the 1996 meeting. Real has lost their last 3 home&away meetings with Juve and won the only final with a 2-meter offside goal.
If I were you, I wouldn't dare to talk about Italian way to play football.

I have no problem with you stating your opinion, but i just think you should give Italian Footbal  some credit, it may not be the most exciting but is a world class league with world class players and teams. :)
