i had a feeling that rafa will play 4-5-1............ (mentioned it in a earlier thread  :D ). I don't think it is a wise move...... Its already hard to score against chelsea in the 1st place.

I thought we might have a 4-5-1 with Biscan also included. This looks like a 4-4-1-1 with Kewell playing off Morientes. I thought he might be tempted with a full blown 4-4-2 with Baros - seems strange to pick a 'not yet match fit' Kewell ahead of him.

Anyway:

COME ON RED MEN!

Rumours abound that Baros' sulk was quite spectacular. But we don't do rumours! :;):

BAROS MISSES OUT AS RAFA OPTS FOR 4-5-1

Reds boss Rafa Benitez has gone for midfield supremacy over attacking power in an attempt to lift a record 8th League Cup success against Chelsea at the Millenium Stadium today.
Liverpool will line up with five across the midfield with Harry Kewell supporting lone front man Fernando Morientes. It is a system that has brought the Reds some success this season, but Milan Baros can count himself unlucky to miss out.

Kewell retains his place after performing so well against Bayer Leverkusen in midweek and he will look to get forward as much as possible as the Reds look to avenge home and away defeats to Jose Mourinho's highflyers.

Luis Garcia and John Arne Riise are charged with the task of providing the ammunition for Morientes. Fasten your seat belts, this
promises to be an exciting affair.

Liverpool - Dudek, Hyypia, Finnan, Carragher, Riise, Traore, Hamann, Kewell, Gerrard, Garcia, Morientes. Subs - Carson, Biscan, Nunez, Baros, Pellegrino.
