i beg top differ...manure are playing no better than wimbeldon (when they were in the top league). What they do is close down the opposition very fast & create a lot of fouls. And AF around, the ref will be lenient with the scums...

I say it now, and i say it again....watch us next season....Rafa would have created a great team bythen....

This season, we should win the league cup....but something tells me..we will win the champions league too...

of course they are. everyones hatred of them is clouding the fact that fundamentally they are still a superior team to us. everyone continually writes them off but they produce IN THE BIG GAMES. they've now gone 11 unbeaten, winning nine of those, and keeping seven clean sheets in a row.

yesterday they were just better. in midfield their passing and ball retention was far superior to us. keane and scholes gave gerrard a lesson (as much as i hate to say it). at the back, i thought heinze was outstanding aswell.

we are still a significant way behind them as a team unit but it will come with time.

Was a combination of the two - We turned in one of our worst performances of the season and i hate to say it but the mancs showed their quality despite missing several (like us) key players. I agree, we are still a long way behind but things are never as bad the shiitty papers make out.

On the plus side, Morientes struggled to get to the pace of the game but there were a few glimpses of the class that sets him apart from so many other players. I can't wait till this lad gets fit.

personally i would have put morientes and nunez on the bench and brought them on towards the end of the match

We were always outnumbered and outpassed in midfield. We could really see that esp in the first half where scholes (that was scholes best performance i ve ever seen), keane and fletcher simply outclassed gerrard and hamann.

Even when they were down to 10,..their midfield overran us rugged.

I expected rafa to reinforce our midfield by withdrawing morientes and adding more steel in midfield..however, I can understand him not doing that cos we were 1-0 down and need 2 strikers on the pitch. So really, the goal came at the worst possible time.

Gerrard can learn a thing or two from scholes in this game...play the simple pass, whenever possible instead of trying to hit throughballs all the time or muscle your way in between 3 defenders..

Positives: Debutants were brilliant. Morientes is gonna score loads judging by his display. GOod vision and awareness. Powerful in the air and has a great ability to escape his marker..looks a snip for 6m.

pelle looks a useful player. Strong and passionate..a natural leader on the pitch. Have no doubt that he has already adapted to the EPL already. Tough cookie!!Will be useful cover for CB...
