so my prediction is a draw, and maybe not a very pretty game.

Agree. They'll be playing for a draw to keep the gap with Arsenal.

But dont agree about Mourinho. If the manc scum had not lost the plot against Porto last year, you'd never have heard his name again. He's just a guy riding the wave.

I've not seen Chelseas play tactically any better than they played last year. They're getting results from individual performances from a couple of players like Robben, who Mourinho didnt sign anyway. Its not as if Mourinho has them playing a different style.

You can see the difference at Anfield Rafa has made. We play a more organised game. Rafa is the king of coaches. Mourinho is just a guy that says smart things to the media.

I agree to a certain degree. Before Robben Chelsea found it very hard to score, which explains all their 1-0 wins but with Robben and Duff they have been able to score more so you can say that they depend on Robben.

The key to stopping chelsea is to stop robben & duff. I think chelsea were just holding out against pompey as they were already thinking about the game against us (in which they will come out with all guns blazing).

Also don't under-estimate Mourinho. He is the best tactician after rafa in this league  :p .

If we can stop duff & robben (looks a daunting prospect), half the battle is won.

Anything is possible. Liverpool has proven that we are capable of making the impossible possible.

Liverpool has the quality. Chelsea will see that quality .

Personally, I think Chelsea is threatened by Liverpool.

Marinhoe knows Rafa well. Both of them will want to prove one is better Coach then the other.

The lads must organise well this time. Get some trick shot goals. Get some set piece goals.

John Terry "header" must be marked tightly.

Whereas the other like Roben Duff Lampard and Cole perharps will try long range shots against our defence. They know they will have difficulties penetrating our mid field and /then defence this time.

Our four Defenders has to be solid like the way we played against Olympiakos. Maybe Rafa can bring Henchoz as well if Finannan is unwell. Traore in the left must elicit his defensive skills. In the middle Carragher and Hypia as usual. Make sure the dou dont give out silly free kicks. Chelsea will try to win a free kick just out side the D box and use Lampard/ Roben to try  a long range ball.

Besides that, our mid field has to be rock solid. Gerrard. Alonso, Riise and Nunez (no Kewell please. has he gone on Holiday?.) Opt for Garcia, Warnock, Patridge and eventully as last resort Hamman. Hamman should not start this time. He looses his power shortly. He should come in after we secure some goals. Diao & Biscan must not even be in the line up. !

Ponggole/Mellor and Baros. We need baros to work hard and share his experience to Ponggole and Mellor.

The lads must give their full throtle from time to time through out the match. Dont take it as a burden that they must wi. Enjoy football and show Chelsea how we play at Anfiled. Then they can rest well before Norwich game.

I believe thats why they laid back against Southampton. To reserve some power for Chelsea game.

I am confident we can beat Chelsea. I am sure Liverpool will prove that Chelsea cannot underestimate us. For that matter  no other team will underestimate us again. I hate when the people predict Liverpool will loose gainst the opponent. Liverpool is beyond human prediction. Liverpool is unprecditable.

Robben is a little sook.

Mourinho didnt look so clever when they played against Arsenal. Counting on John Terry to score from set pieces. That's about as tactical as Bolton, except without the 200m worth of players.

I think a draw is a good result. To do that, we cannot sit back and hope for 0-0 game...cos with the quality that they have, they only need one chance to score..should be a good game. Looking forward to it!!!

Draw will be a great for us. As much as i want us to get the 3 points, i rather chelsea win the league rather than arsenal or the scums (they have a long way to go to match our 18..).

I would have to agree, Chelsea look strong but they aren't invincible. Looking forward to the game and I am not concerned about them. I've seen a fair number of their games and it's their opponent's fear that gives them the extra edge. We don't fear anybody.

Good point Andy . Your getting quite good at this forum malrkey aren't you  :D

But your prediction of a bore draw doesn't bode well for the fans who will be there like myself.

After your mystic meg prediction i think I;ll sell my ticket   :;):

For the record my prediction ......A 2-2 Draw  :)
