LIVERPOOL v man city Sun 11th Oct 4.00pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Never doubted the result today, not with our starting 11 and the bench options.
Really disappointed this is the performance we put on today. Relying on a headless chicken like Koumas to score? Get real. The kid works hard but he's not yet good enough. Today was the chance to give someone like Wright the chance to make a name for himself.

Im not disappointed with us, not one bit! We were screwed by Kavangh. How the league could appoint a Manchester born referee in a game like this especially with city under the magnifying glass is beyond me. That red card completely changed the trajectory of the game. It needs to be investigated because I can't be bothered anymore. My love for the game completely died today.

That story about City appeared in the German press 10 years ago and came from the same source who broke the panama papers story yet here we are a decade later, a decade!! still getting our noses rubbed in it by a bunch of cheats. The Klopp era should have mirrored the Paisley era and would have done but for those cheating so-and-so's. 830m extra they were allowed to spend that was back in the days when 50m - 60m got you one of the best players in the world. The prem were quick enough to jump down the likes of Everton's and Forest's throats even though both of those clubs co-operated fully with the investigations into them.
Really was tough to watch that last half an hour, Grav sent off for 2 nothing fouls by a ref from Manchester. How many times do we get refs from Manchester whenever we play a Manchester team...its unbelievable, i cant remember the last time we were reffed by a ref from Liverpool, in fact i dont think its ever happened.

And Carragher.. I'm honestly done with him. He's got a platform to really tell the story here. But instead he's just praised City and their manager.

Gravenberch didn't need to lunge in like that. He was on a yellow. It was a daft challenge to make. And Doku was clear away if he didn't take him out. Can't blame the ref. If the shoe was on the other foot, we would want that.
We didn't lose that game because of two yellow cards. We lost that game because of highly questionable transfer decisions for the last few years. Nothing coming through the academy. No Fowler, Owen, McManamin, even Carragher. Instead we panic buy players you could argue will shine in a Sh*t league like the Bundesliga or a one horse league in France

No I disagree. That first yellow card for Gravenberch was absolutely disgraceful. He never even touched Anderson, he completely bought the foul after over touching the ball. The 2nd yellow was also very soft but I could understand it if it was his first yellow card.. but the 2nd yellow the official always gives a little bit of leeway not to ruin the game. But how quick was Kavangh to go into his pocket for the second? He couldn't wait to screw us over.

We were doing okay up until the sending off.

I'm with you guys in all this, that is why I felt this shyte should've been sorted quick. So from now on every team City play and smash will feel like a no result. Many fans feel hollow after today loss, like it doesn't really mean anything.

When team sheet came out wasn't convinced myself, we competed well but sending off changed that game.

I thought we were the most likely to win and I thought Gravenberch was the player he was when we won the title, he was excellent.

Then came the ref…. two soft yellows and he completely changed the game. As disgusted I am at all these charges against that horrible team it’s more forgivable because they still played football. What really gets me is how many times they won because of ref/VAR decisions as it’s way beyond the “everything evens out through a season”, it’s clearly abnormal and highly suspicious. It was highlighted for me yesterday when the ref all match was letting them maul our players and he didn’t call the fouls. After the sending off and the Haaland goal one of our players got a little contact from the back, and the ref called the foul in our favor as if to show he’s not on their side. All match we couldn’t buy a foul then as soon as he sends our players off and they go ahead he gives us a foul with much less contact than the ones he was waiving away. After the goal I said to myself that we will now get a soft foul in a non threatening position, and we did.

The amount of times City have been in tight matches only for the ref to give them a massive advantage and they go on to win the match convincingly and it never seems to be reported, only the scoreline show. News outlets today showing how fantastic City are by beating Liverpool with only a slight mention of the yellow cards. City are cheats but it has more to do with dodgy ref decisions than hiding money they should not be spending. I consider that technical cheating, winning through dodgy ref decisions is pure cheating because despite all their advantages, they still needed a lot of help from the referees.

Manure were just as crooked but they seem to have got away with. Last year it was Arsenal that seemed to be gifted the PL. PL football has become a sham!

Kazza as you know you win games by scoring goals and even when we were on to0 in the first half we never looked like scoring. The sending off was diabolical and demonstrates Kavanagh’s undeniable bias towards City. He lives a few miles from the ground and it is alleged that his brother is a City season ticket holder !! Just look t that diabolical Rodri hand ball decision against Everton that probably cost us the league. Somehow between Kavanagh and Tierney they came to the ridiculous conclusion that it wasn’t a hand ball. Those 2 points almost very nearly got Everton relegated.

We have been extremely unlucky with injuries caused during the international matches. Having said that yesterday our bench looked terrible. Starting with Wirtz as an almost automatic first choice is a mistake. He has had more than enough time to adapt to the Premiership and unfortunately he has failed miserably. So far out of the new arrivals only Jaquet and Munoz have looked decent.

Difficult times for Areola.

We did well, despite being understrength whilst it was XI v XI the game was competative, lets remember where we are, we are in the very early stages of an extensive rebuild under a new manager who was brought in on the back 12 solid months of underwhelming performances and results.
I actually thought we had started the second half really well, when the sending off happened i thought we were the team in the ascendancy. We can take positives from that game for sure, we are improving on a weekly basis. If we would have been full strength like they were i think we would have beaten them.

When we dominate we don’t score.
When they get a chance, they score.

And as predicted the PGMOL have come out with a apology for the errors leading to Gravenberchs red card. Well thats ok then, we'll just carry on as normal.
