LIVERPOOL v ajax Tue 1sr Dec 8.00pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Hopefully we’ll play better than we did against Atalanta and Brighton because if Ajax somehow manage to beat us we could find ourselves in 3rd place tonight (albeit with a game against Midtjylland still to come).

Difficult to be confident the way things are going at the moment. Team selection will be important. Klopp can be more adventurous given that we don’t play again until Sunday. With Milly injured Klopp may have to play Neco Williams. Minamino could also be in the mix. This isn’t going to be easy.

I'd play Henderson at right back and play the top front 4 with winni and fabinho in midfield with matip and Williams at back

Did ok against some very difficult opponents. Well done to Williams,Curtis and Kelleher. Great goal and a couple of match defining saves.

Great results all around yesterday with the group wrapped up and the opportunity to rest everyone for the final game. Also, very happy with most of our players, especially Kelleher, that performance will be a massive confidence boost for him.

I’ll just reiterate what everyone else has said, that’s job done now and we can forget about the CL and park that particular competition up until next Feb when hopefully we wont be so affected by injury. Priority number 1 now is to try and put a run of wins together in the league.

A much need win, all the players have played well, Jones was the star of the game along with young keeper.

If Alisson is still out I’d play the young lad the weekend as well against Wolves, btw can any of our Irish lads phonetically spell out for us the correct pronunciation of the lad’s Christian name?
Is it “k-wee-vim” or something like that? After his performance last night the least I can do is learn how to say his name!

Kweeveen would be close Yakka.

Delighted that group is wrapped up with a game to spare which is like a Christmas present.  With any luck we wont be so stretched when it resumes.

My god was Salah frustrating last night. Klopp should put nails in his left boot until he learns to use his right. He may as well had indicators for his turns because he only goes one way and is way to obvious.

Very proud of the team's performance last night...I was pretty certain of a loss considering the circumstances. Jones has something of an edge about him which is good to see, and the keeper seems to have a calm head on his shoulders.

It was a big ''f*ck you'' to those who are just waiting for us to slip up. I think Klopp's comments on fixture congestion are justified, but at the same time I detect a little psychological play at work. If we're supposedly in such dire straits, yet we keep winning (or staying in contention for the title/CL), it gives us a psychological edge over our rivals. I could be reading too much into it, but that's how i see things.
