City play United not long after our game finishes so it's absolutely imperative that we win and crank up the pressure on them. If we can do the business against Bournemouth they will be walking out of the tunnel at half five with the sword of Damocles above their heads. Imo the next few weeks will decide the title, last season when we had the chance to pull away from City we folded and they reeled us in, City are currently 11 points behind and they're not playing well, let's not let them off the hook twice in two seasons. 3 points please lads.
There are no easy games now... managers are being fired and others will be taking heed and desperate to improve performance. Every game this season is a FA Cup final if we want to win the league.
Do Origi and Shaq deserve another 90 minutes.... I'd like tothink so but I'd delegate that one to Klopp.
He may well be tempted to go with the likes of Origi, Shaq, Lallana (and maybe even Keita) given they are in form and we have a winner-takes-all CL knock out game on Tuesday. Salzburg are no mugs, they are all about intricate one two's and moving the ball quick and if we don't get at least a draw we are out so the stakes don't come much higher. There's no Fabinho protecting the back 4 either so we could do with our players having plenty of energy in their legs for that one.
Yeah but we also want to win the PL, and considering how things went last season (we had more points than any other PL Champion ever except Man City who won it), we might not want to risk dropping points too often. Sure, we need to rest players at some point, but away games especially in the PL are always difficult no matter the opponent, so IMO we should go with our best 11 both today AND against Salzburg. We can rest players against Watford next week and at the WC semi-final.
