Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:11 pm

Both of our rivals are on the telly tomorrow, Chelsea are away to West Ham in the early kick off and City are away to the improving Watford at half five. You'd fancy both of them to win but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they drop points, 2 tricky games.
Mind you they are probably looking at our game and thinking the same to themselves.

Our game would be tricky as well, but Wolves, similarly to Southampton, don't concede many goals but don't really score too many either which kinda works for us since we've been far better at scoring goals than keeping them out this season. Wolves are a better team than Soton though, plus we played the Saints at Anfield while this one is an away match, so yeah, definitely a potential banana skin.

As for our rivals, I'd normally write off Watford right away against City but they were pretty good against Chelsea the other day so anything is possible. As for West Ham, it's not beyond them to take points off a top team, especially at home, as we well know. Fingers crossed they'll be trouble for Chelsea as they were for us.

LFC will have to play the Fun Boy 3 up front and go for early goals before bringing them off to rest before the Milan game on Tuesday.
I'd play Konate and rest Matip who I always fear is 50 yards from his next injury. There's no reason why Ox shouldn't start, maybe also the Greek and Minimino coming on once 1 or 2 goals ahead, likewise with Milly.

Points are key but so is resting players. We have 9 games in December so we need the best points haul but also to ensure we don't blow out by game 7.

Think Konate, Milner, and possibly one of Origi/Minamino come in for this one. We want to keep a bit of stability but with only 2 days rest need some freshness.

How was that not a penalty on Salah when Coady got injured? The tackle touched none of the ball and a lot of the player.

Anyway, expected to see this sort of game, Wolves are being smart and are parking the bus, hoping to get us on the counter. They shouldn't be able to be the first team to keep us from scoring at least one goal this season though, should they?

Only listening to it on the radio but it sounds like we are struggling to find our rhythm. With Chelsea losing surely we won't blow this chance to go top, even if its only for an hour or two.
Come on lads ffs.

Wolves defence is very tight Yakka. Difficult to make real opportunities.

I can't f*cking believe Jota didn't score there Jesus Chirst what the f*ck was that. Didn't even need that much power just place it on the side!
