Semi curfew has been set up so let's see how it is contained.

I wonder how China have contained it,few daily cases and 4k active 73 k recovered.

With draconian measures which the west will not adopt.

It's easier when you're a socialist country. A collapse of the economy is far worse for us than any virus.

A senior employee at a Medical Institution in the UK has told me they are already planning for the possibility that the virus could be with us all the way up to September !

Put it this way Woof, they say it's going to last at least 3 months more so come 15th July would you have the courage to go to Italy on holiday? The date it's officially 'over' and folks willingness to travel, mingle in crowds etc.. knowing winter is coming and the virus could reignite again in October is a dreadful  scenario. Self regulation is the order of the day for many months, summer hols at home and avoid crowds - including football games until at least Crimbo to know whether the dormant virus is going to return.

This will not be the last virus that causes such panic guys. There's gonna be new and maybe even scarrier viruses in the future. In my lifetime there has been HIV, ebola, SARS, MERS, birdflu and now Covid19. In a way, us as a humanity created these viruses by overpopulating. I just wonder what the level of panic will be like if it was like a zombie apocalypse. We have to get use to this. It is not the end of the world...

I think I would prefer a zombie apocalypse because 1. They are easy to spot and 2. You are allowed to shoot them in the head when you do spot them, in fact if you see a policeman he might even lend you his gun.

Yes, I prefer a zombie apocalypse

How bitter can you get. Can't believe the amount of people with the #null & #void hashtags going around, with some trope like "people's health is more important than football" etc. as if there is no other way to deal with this, when in reality they only want to see the season abandoned so we don't get the title. I honestly can't understand the bitterness in some rival fans, like they only live to see us fail.

Isn't it more fair if the season is declared complete as it is now? Idont know how declaring tge season null and void is fair!

Guys, lets face facts, the season is over and if the government want to restart behind closed doors or otherwise they're crazy.

The only question is how to break the bad news to clubs they've been relegated, everything else is common sense.

I think the desire from most football clubs will be to complete the season. Generally football clubs get paid the broadcasting and commercial partnership revenue at the end of the season but have already committed the money. The idea of not receiving a big chunk of the money they thought was guaranteed could have serious consequences for clubs that are not run so well and cancelling the season will likely result in opening a legal can of worms. I think they will try to complete the PL but they'll need to be creative in the way it's scheduled.

Whatever happens, I'm guessing the summer transfer market is going to be a quite one across the world.

The season is going to be finished properly Reg, the PL and the clubs just can't affored it financially to have it abanoned, and other complications that come from having no winner, clubs qualified for European cups etc.

Also, we have to take a look at other leagues as well, nobody wants to null and void the season, not even Italy, who are more likely to finish it with the current standings than abandon it.

We will most likely finish everything in empty stadiums, maybe even in a single city or region in June and July. Players will be tested for the virus before and after every game, stay in properly disinfected hotels and all that. I'm 99% sure that the season will finish properly, unless this pandemic escalates RAPIDLY.
