Porto v LIVERPOOL Wed 17th April 8.00pm K.O

This tie is not over, if Red Star can beat us 2-0 anyone can, RS's most expensive player cost just £2m which would be buttons even to a championship side. Let's not forget as well that Porto had a couple of great chances at Anfield and if they do manage to score first tonight it's going to get pretty nervy.
Saying that the first leg result means that we are going to be in the tie right till the end, they could be 3-0 up in the 89th minute and 1 goal from us would still see us through. It's going to be tough for them to find the balance between attack and defence as well, they need to come at us but we are one of the best counter attacking sides in Europe.
1 goal from us and they'll need 4.

A 21-man Liverpool squad will travel for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg versus FC Porto.

The Reds, who hold a 2-0 lead from last week's first leg at Anfield, fly out to Portugal on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the tie at Estadio do Dragao.

Dejan Lovren misses out due to illness, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains at Melwood to carry out additional fitness work.

Liverpool squad: Fabinho, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Gomez, Alisson, Henderson, Sturridge, Moreno, Lallana, Mignolet, Shaqiri, Robertson, Origi, Matip, Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold.

I'd go for the below. Should be enough to score a goal and stop them scoring 4.

                              Alisson

Milner          Gomez          Van Dijk          Robertson

                              Fabinho
          Wijnaldum                     Keita

        Salah                                    Origi
                              Firmino

Subs: Mane, Shaqiri, Lallana, Henderson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Mignolet

I don't think Porto are as big a threat as Bayern were away, and I can see us comfortably sailing through.
Their home performance is bound to be a bit cautious due to the away goal rule and I can't see them throwing the kitchen sink at us.

If we can get a 2/3 goal lead by half time, then Sub the big guns and rest them for Sunday versus Cardiff.

Shanks, Paisley and Fagan would get a single goal then close the game down. Why waste energy getting 2-3? We have s small squad going into an intense part of the season, we need to keep the players fresh. Will be interesting to see who’s on the bench - game killers?

I’m reasonably confident about this one even with our recent Sh*t awful away record in Europe except for Bayern. If we score one goal they will need four. They have got to go for goals from the kick off and I believe that will make it easier for us to score. We are in a great place mentally which will make a massive difference as well.

We are a lot stronger than we were last season, when we only had Ings and Solanke on the bench!? Now we have Studge, Shaqiri, Fabinho, Lallana, Gomez, Milner etc.

We are in a far better position than last term.

I agree though, one goal will probably do it for us.

Looks like it's lashing down, hope the pitch doesn't get pools of standing water on it, turns into a farce when that happens.
