Benoît Pedretti young person among the 23 was selected in Euro 2004 in Portugal. He indeed makes part of this younger generation of players resulting from a center of French formation, just like Cissé, Mexès or Rothen... Since 1999, it integrates the school sochalienne to carry out there promising beginnings at the station of medium of ground. Guy Lacombe his trainer counts on this centre piece in the play sochalien which allured whole France in 2003 and in 2004. With Pierre Alain Frau, Isabey, Santos, Zaïri and Richert, the young guard sochalienne finished in the 1st third of L1.

Pedretti the captain of the yellow and blue formation gained the Cut of the League in 2004 finally vis-a-vis the FCNA after having failed finally the year of before against Monaco. Jacques Santini shows himself allured by the cleanliness of his play and the capacity with organizing the construction of the actions well. He selects it for the first time in team of France into friendly to St Denis vis-a-vis in Yugoslavia in November 2002. Pedretti is essential at the Blue ones during the tournament of the confederations in France in June 2003. This tournament marked by the death of the player camerounais Foé is gained by France. Very little selected during Euro in Portugal in June 2004, Benoît has despite everything the future in front of him to show that it has the capacities to become one of the executives impossible to circumvent in team of France as of the next world cup 2006...

the new" gerrard"according to people in france  we could of got him in the summer for nothink  his was worth a try we were linked with him in the summer, people are comparing him to didier deschamp and his only 24. currently at marseille on a 4 year contract but i think his an ideal replacmeant for gerrard if he decide's to join his pal owen at real madrid i would prefer if gerrard leaves to go to italy to play for juve, milan or i wouldn't mind him join barcelona i h8 real madrid  , but if smicer or hamman are on there way ideal sort of person to buy :)

we do need at least one new central midfielder, hamman's got one more season left in him and diao is a waste of space and should go play in division 1, so if this guy is cheap and young, why not.
I would be a proffesional footballer if i wasn't limited by my lack of talent.

No, its unrealistic that Rafa will buy this player. He guranteed that he is looking for a striker and possibly a defender.

The only French talent I trust is Djibril Cisse.

If Houllier was so good at spotting French talent, why did he sign next generation instead of current generation?

Five years ago we could have had Henry, Pires, Petit, Zidane....you name it....he even let Anelka go.

Instead we got Jean Michel Ferri and Bruno Cheyrou.

Ferri was apparently Houllier's inside man in a dressing ruled by Paul Ince, Steve McMannaman, Robbie Fowler etc for 4 or 5 months. The rumour goes that Ince hated Houllier and Ferri's role was to report back to the boss on what the players were up to.

Question: is the Great One's post based on watching this player for a long time or based on an article he read in a magazine or on the net?

Must be very valuable information if we were to spend £1.7M on Ferri  :D
