I've never seen a player regress so far in such a short space of time. Looks like he's never kicked a ball in his life at the moment.

Considering his age and the wages he is on I'd be looking to offload in the summer.

our fullbacks are porous as f##k, the CB`s are taking a bit of stick but they are constantly having to leave their central positions and go and close down wide men or marauding opposition fullbacks who have just breezed past our defenses out wide.

With no one solid to compete for his position, Johnson's dip in form is evident since the Everton game looking extremely vulnerable and occasionally giving away the ball, and often losing possession. Lets not forget he did come back from injury earlier this season, but really there is no excuse for his current form. Like to see him dropped, or a backup signed to compete for the RB role. I dont realistically see him at the club after the end of the season, should he not sign an extension to his current deal.

To me he has been on the decline for some time.
This season he has played like someone who has been out on the ale the night before.
He takes ages in posession and the amount of time he is being dispossed due to this is increasingly frustrating.
Added to that his decision making getting worse than it used to be then it leaves us with a big problem.
With the wage he is on and the fact that he is nearing 30 I also think we would want to offload him.
It might be difficult to do this though unless say QPR come back up, Redknapp bought him at Portsmouth and is happy throwing high wages at ageing players.
When you see what the kid Coleman at Everton is playing like each week it makes it even harder to watch Johnson these days.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer

Really good post this mate, tend to agree with pretty much everything you say, he needs to be sold while we can still get a decent amount of monies back on him

When does his contract end? He's not worth what he's earning at the moment. Loses the ball too often and doesn't seem to know what he's supposed to be doing. Would love it if we were to put in a cheeky bid for Seamus Coleman.

A £17,000,001 bid should do it

I heard a rumour that the club offered Johnson a new deal, on a lot less cash, and he's turned it down. Could this explain his increasingly lacklustre performances?

Something's not right here...I originally thought he was injured, but he's not. He's not a bad player either, so why the fark is he playing like Josemi with one leg?

If that is his problem, I would think that his days are numbered.

He has been awful for a long time now and our main priority should be a player THAT WANTS TO BE HERE and can play either LB or RB.

Sell him now and let's get some "scrap metal" money at least.

Once Flano and Enrique are back he has no business being part of the starting XI.

Out for a few weeks with ankle trouble, flanno's back training though.
