Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Not like we have any other options I'm afraid. At least he is getting plenty of playing time so we can see how good/bad he really us.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

at 21 he is nowhere near the finished article and we shouldnt expect him to be, in any other proffession he`d be an apprentice at that age.
i think rodgers needs to rotate him a bit to take the pressure off the lad, if he`s in the team week in week out and we are struggling to score goals he might start letting his head drop.

I'd pick Assasidi instead of Borini in the Europa League. If the lad does well keep him in against United and leave Borini on the bench for that game.

Samed Yesil, Michael Ngoo and Adam Morgan by the looks of things.

Is Pacheco not going to get any chances then this season? When Rafa was at the club he was talked up as the next Torres. I'm not really sure why we bought Yesil anyway when we clearly haven't made the best out of Pacheco.

rodgers could play gerrard in the front 3, or assaidi, or downing or even one of the U21`s like suso, ngoo, yesil etc
if he plays borini there week in week out and we dont get goals the crowd might start to get on his back and the lads confidence will be crushed.

Completely different players Yesil and Pacheco.  Pacheco, unfortunately, is sort of a man without a country.  Decent player, but doesn't really excel at any one posistion.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

i think this 4-3-3 might suit pacheco though, and i think he`d probably be more effective than borini in that wide attacker role, at least he can go past a man.
pacheco looked one of the better players in pre season.

Pacheco isn't good enough, and he's struggled at every club we've sent him on loan to.

He needs to be shown the door, not a starting place in our first 11

he`s 20 lad.
he was certainly impressive against chelsea U21`s the other night and he was impressive in pre season too.
i dont see any reason why he shouldnt at least get a chance to prove himself.

he's been on loan at lots of clubs and struggled. What's more, four managers have come here and not one of them rate him enough to give him a chance.  According to some, he's the best player never to kick a ball and i don't buy it. He's another Krisztián Németh, a legend in his own lunchtime.

His career hasn't even got started yet.

He was overhyped by the supporters and struggled to live up to that.

He did ok on loan at Norwich but didn't do so well in Spain.

He has ability and talent and with our limited numbers in attack it doesn't harm to finally give him a decent chance to prove himself.

Pacheco still has plenty to offer.

i think his game suits the style of footy we are attempting to play under rodgers, i think he`d be more effective than borini in the wide attacking role because he can go past a man and is a better passer than borini. borini is a grafter, pacheco is quite creative.
pacheco is playing well for the U21`s too, people rave about morgan but pacheco looks a far better player than he does when they are on the same pitch.
some of our first team would do well to have a look at how pacheco, adorjan and yesil link up in our U21`s.
as i said danny was one of the brighter sparks in pre season and although he was basically frozen out like carroll he hasnt sulked he got his head down and is putting in some excellent performances in for the U21`s, he deserves a chance and i reckon he`d offer more than borini out wide.
