Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Eagle » Mon Jul 16, 2012 7:47 pm

We have our first pre-season game on Saturday evening. Anyone else starting to get excited? This is the schedule below:

Saturday 21st July         /  21:00GMT    /  Toronto        /   Rogers Centre, Toronto            /   Friendly
Wednesday 25th July    /  23:30GMT    /   Roma            /   Fenway Park, Boston                /   Friendly
Saturday 28th July        /  18:00GMT    /   Tottenham   /   M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore  /   Friendly
Thursday 2nd August    /  TBC             /   TBC               /   TBC                                          /   Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg
Thursday 9th August    /   TBC             /   TBC              /   Anfield                                     /   Europa League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg
Sunday 12th August     /   15:00GMT    /   Leverkusen  /   Anfield                                     /   Friendly

Saturday 18th August  /    15:00GMT   /   West Brom   /    The Hawthorns                        /   Premier League

All 3 of the games on the US tour will be shown on ESPN in the UK. Below is the 34 man squad which will be in the US (players will not necessarily play in those positions or in that system). Johnson, Gerrard, Carroll, Henderson, Downing, Kelly and Borini will not join up with the squad until after the first game as they are still on holiday after participating in the Euros. Suarez, Coates and Bellamy won’t be going because of the Olympics and it looks like Reina has been given an extended holiday after going to the final of the Euros. Other absentees include Doni, Coady and Teixeira.
