It was a very good performance, shame they saved it for a game that didn't matter instead of the FA cup

Yes, the FA cup final was disappointing ,but that was a massive failure on behalf of the players ...I for one was delighted when I seen the line up included
Bellamy, and  believed Carroll would be a fantastic impact sub .

Kenny Dalglish and this club we love will reward our faith next season , I have no qualms whatsoever that we wont be significantly better next year .

The people who have been calling for KKs head are spectacurarly ignorant an living in lala land. They think that life is like a computer game where all you do you is swap names, get a new manager and all the problems are sorted.
I personally have never took them seriously as they havent got a Fu*king clue about how things work and they certainly dont grasp the concept of patience and support. A quick fix and short term thinking is not whats needed here, and as many mistakes as KK has made he has made good decisions. When it all clicks we will be a force again.
We will NEVER have a season like this again and I fully expect us to be competing for cups and the CL place next season with KK at the helm

I'd like to believe all of that will happen but I'm a bit sceptical to be honest even if Kenny does survive the next few weeks.

I also wonder about FSG in the long term. Their expertise in terms of sport before they bought Liverpool was along the lines of US baseball. It's a completely different kettle of fish in terms of soccer in the english premiership on and off the field. Their grasp of the situation I think may have been wanting the appointment of Comolli at the time seemed to indicate this. Even KK they weren't convinced initially was the man to turn it around. Then they decide to back him while firing Comolli two days before a cup semi-final presumably because they thought Liverpool would triumph in that competition.

I have a feeling that if KK does get another vote of confidence after the end of the season he's not going to have much to play with in terms of cash over the summer. A few are going to have to leave in order for many more to come in. Whoever does come in this summer will have to make a better impact than last summer's signings. I'm hopeful of better things from Carroll, Henderson and Downing but I have to be honest and say that without a dramatic improvement in form at the start of next season I can't see Liverpool in the top four this time next year. Fifth or sixth is a possibility.

I understand peoples negativity and caution. This season has left a bad tatse in al our mouths.
BUT. Football is all about confidence and belief and LFC is nothing if not a beacon for all other clubs to look up to and follow. We havent got the money of City, we dont cheat like united, we have more soul and trophies than arsenal and we have more class, history and heritage than spurs and chelsea put together.
We have been damaged this season by our enemies, but we will come back stronger because we have what no-one else has - we have US: the fans, the players, the manager, the owners, the club. but by that logic you should never change managers then, were you perhaps also nervous when Kenny took over from Woy, I mean that was a change of managers and surely very short term thinking as well, I mean Woy only had half a season, surely to short a time?

Sorry but can you list any clubs that see us as some kind of beacon of hope, it's this kind of sentimental drivel which drives me mad. It has no basis in fact whatsoever, also everyone saying next season will be better, that is also blind faith with no facts attached to it.
The reality is that next season HAS to be better otherwise we'll become another has-been club, this is why it's so imperative that we replace Kenny with a competent manager.

i've seen little this season to suggest Kenny

A) Understands why we're mid-table

B) knows how to fix it

Chelsea have done alright keep swapping managers, better than us anyway.

Personally I think the whole continuity argument is old hat and pretty much
dead in the water these days but pundits like to keep harking on about it.

No one wants to see rubbish foootball and very few want to sit around and wait
for things to change when you can actually make a decision to force the wind in
another direction.

Back in the day you got time when the game wasnt such big business, but when
there is money at stake and people are paid huge amounts to make it a success
there arent many can sit back and watch the whole project flushed away without
making a move.

Personally I dont care how many managers they hire and fire, I just want the team
to move forward and sticking by the same guy is no guarantee of that.

The situation reminds me a bit of when Keegan went back to Newcastle and left after six months because he disagreed with the structure of having Dennis Wise as Director of Football.

There is a problem with Kenny in that he became too used to mediocrity in his last jobs with Newcastle and Celtic. The Kenny from the late 80s/early 90s wouldn't have tolerated this season's peformances or results. He's become more defensive with interviews as the season has gone on even on LFCTV. I watched the one last night where he said his best premiership season was with Blackburn when they won the title. I don't expect him to complement City or other great non-Liverpool games but I would hope that he'd mention some of the games with Liverpool this season or the Carling Cup triumph but no.

I think ultimately the truth is that Kenny has mellowed as the years have gone by he's had other interests in his life and because Liverpool have changed so much since 1991 it would be romantic to think that he could apply the solutions from his first spell in charge to win titles etc. in his second spell in charge.

Chelsea have spent over a hundred million hiring and firing managers. Every Chelsea fan I know thinks the sacking of Ancelotti was a massive mistake. Chelsea bottomless pit of money allows them to back each manager with hundreds of millions.

I was reliably informed this morning that Kenny's out on Monday and Rafa's coming back !!! Well according to my informant the information came from a very reliable source. I guess it was just another bitter blue spouting the latest round of shi.te !!
