I do want Kenny to stay but I must admit he looks very tired and stressed out lately.  There is a huge rebuilding job to be done at this club and you have to wonder whether Kenny at his age should remain in the front line.  Im sure there'd still be a big role for him to play at the club though.

Overall though, I think Kenny has done a fantastic job in step 1 of the rebuilding phase.  He took a team that was 12th in the league and in poor form, got us up to 6th place and this season he has won a cup and we're back to a final again in 3 days.  Not to mention we're back in Europe at least.

Whilst I wouldn't mind if Kenny did step aside, Im disgusted at the some of the abuse he's received from our fans.

I really cant see that many changes happening.

Despite our position and reults being poor this season they way we are playing has been a big improvement that does not need wholesale changes to rectify.

I can see a new striker coming in, a winger to replace Dirk and maybe a central midfielder, and if that happens I will be more than happy.

I've yet to see Kenny getting abuse from any supporter, both at matches and on internet forums and phone in programmes. If Kenny is removed in the summer and a new one brought in, that's four managers we'll have had in two years, that's a disgusting turn-over of managers and it's grossly unacceptable, but this is percisely what happens when a club rushes to bring in a manager without doing proper research. When Dalglish was appointed our manager I was delighted because he took us from 13th to 6th in a matter of months, we had a fantastic team set up and we were destroying teams like Birmingham and Fulham, we were playing beautiful football. Fast forward a year later and look what's happened to our team, it's a case of "if it's not broken, don't fix it". Why Dalglish made the signings he did, why he decided to take a different route from what was working is something I'll never know. I just want this season to be over, I really do! This season and last season has been depressing to watch. Our club feels like it's sinking into nothingness and there's diddly squat us supporters can do about it.

I should be looking forward to this FA Cup final, it's a final, of one of the greatest cup competitions in football - yet I just want it to be over, I won't be able to watch it as I'm working and a small part of me is a delighted, because the way we're playing and the way Chelsea are playing, I can only see one outcome on Saturday and it doesn't bode well for us.

Chelsea have just signed Marko Marin, Arsenal have signed Podolski and they are reportedly in talks with Ajax's Jan Vertonghen. I'd imagine Spurs and Newcastle will also strengthen, as will the two Manchester clubs.

Also are we playing better football at this stage this season as opposed to this time last season? I think not. Last season we beat Fulham 5-2, this season we've lost 1-0 to them. I can't see the improvement at all, cup competition, yes, much improved, league wise? We're the worst we've ever been in the league.

We need to sign a lot of quality footballers in the summer, because players like Spearing, Carragher, Downing and Adam just aren't good enough and players like Carroll, Henderson and Shelvey are players for the 'future' as it were. Maxi and Kuyt will probably leave, so we're going to lose two players who are able to score goals that win matches.

Big changes are needed in the summer, big changes. This squad as it stands is a mid-table squad who are able to perform in one-off cup matches.

Don't know whether it makes a difference but our 3 most experienced players have all said they can see progress this season.  Thats Carra, Stevie and Pepe.

Agreed. The problems this year i'm positive have been mostly psycological. We've been stuck down in our hole for almost the entire season, peeking out on occasions to do well in the cups. We don't have bad players and those that say they're cr*p need to get out on the pitch themselves and realise how hard it is to play in the Premier League. There really are no bad teams. There are teams that are better than others, sure. But none are "cr*p". Goalscoring has been our problem this year. We've created sooo many chances. Convert them, and there'd be no problem. I honestly believe we are only a few signings away from being back amongst the top lot. Yeah we had January to sign a few players, and Kenny's biggest mistake this year was to believe our team was complete in the transfer window. But don't despair. And let Kenny and the lads have time to do their jobs. Honestly, why did anyone believe that appointing Kenny and spending £100m was enough to get us back amongst the top four?

Kenny hasn't f*cked us up...he just hasn't put things right yet. Maybe he's not the man for the job. But considering how long we've been inb the wilderness for, I don't believe that one season is enough to judge him, or any other manager.

Just like to add the injurys to Gerrard and Lucas havent helped along with Agger. When Agger got injured it broke what i believe to be THE BEST defence in the league.

Next season we will come back and we WILL be better. We will have lost a few players probably Kuyt and Maxi but im sure Kenny has got the solution waiting to be unveiled.

But we must be quick in the summer any good player will be snapped up quick and prices will be inflated after the euros.

The big changes don't just include people going out and people going out.

The manager needs to change, he needs to improve as do the rest of the non-playing staff. The players as a whole need to improve. Players like Downing, Adam and Henderson need to stop being passengers and need to start contributing more. Players like Carroll and Suarez need to convert a higher percentage of our chances and some of our youngsters really need to push on and start challenging the elder players for places in the starting XI. We do need to sign a few players, we don't need an entirely new squad, but we desperately need another striker, we need an attacking center midfielder who is a good playmaker and we need a more experienced center back, someone who has been around a bit, but who is better than the likes of Skrtel and Carragher. I'd also argue that we need a right winger, someone who can bomb down the flank and really stretch open the opposition defence. So four or five signings should do it, but we really need to bring in some quality.

i didnt see what fairclough and mcateer said last but i must admit i found it a bit strange that kenny chose last night of all nights to berate the players. last nights team was a scratch side containing a lot of young players, they were thrown together and thrown in against a decent premier league side.
okay the performance wasnt great but lets face it there has been a lot of poor performances by our best XI this season never mind a scratch XI and kenny hasnt said a word.

Kenny "berated" the players because a) they deserved it and b) he's feeling the pressure. I think he knows he's a marked man, I feel he has felt this way since the dismissal of Damien Comolli a few weeks ago.

Yesterday is yet another loss on his record, another loss on our record and we are in danger of slipping down the league table still further. Last night just highlighted that we haven't got the strength in depth that we thought we had and it further reinforces my opinion that we need to sign four or five genuine quality footballers next season. Footballers with the ability of Luis Suarez, not players like Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing who are about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Perhaps the most disappointing thing about this season hasn't been the performance of the players, but the performance of our manager. If Kenny wants to berate anyone, he should stand in front of his bedroom mirror and berate the reflection he sees, because he's been highly disappointing this season.

The reason I am harsh with Kenny is I know that he can do much better, that's what's frustrating about him. This is a man who took charge of Liverpool football club, brought in a lot of fantastic players and continued the winning formula at Liverpool. He then moves to Blackburn gets them promoted, gets them challenging for the league and then goes onto win it. Yes you can say at Blackburn he had a lot of money to spend and he did smash the British transfer fee record with the £3.5m signing of Alan Shearer, but money doesn't guarantee success, so hats off to him for that.

I just don't understand how we can do so well in the cups and not the league? We've performed consistently well in cup matches this season, yet we cannot win matches in the league or we've won just 4 since January? You have to ask yourself what the hell is going on and when I am looking for Dalglish to sort things out, he appears devoid of answers and solution and seems to be plodding along. How can a manager of his pedigree seem so clueless when it comes to the league? He's won the f*cking competition once, is there any reason why cannot win it again? Maybe he needs help bringing in players, maybe he should watch foreign football, deploy his scouts in deepest, darkest Peru as opposed to Grimsby and that should help him along nicely!

Alan Hansen in the immediate aftermath of Kenny's appointment said that Dalglish being away from football wasn't a concern because he watches all types of football around the globe and he knows most leagues inside out. If this is true, then Dalglish will hopefully bring in some lads from outside of Britain that will aid our development as we look to rebuild our decaying walls as we look to rebuild our Empire.

Although I am dejected at the moment and I am angry at the manager and the players, I just cannot give up on the manager, not yet, but Christ on Bike, Kenny is as frustrating as Rafa Benitez and Gerard Houllier.

I can see a new striker coming in, Andy Carroll, a winger to replace Dirk, Stewart Downing, and maybe a central midfielder, Jordan Henderson, and if that happens I will be more than happy.

It already has happened... 75 million spent.. and no one is happy.

Kenny has stated that there is no player at the club that he hasn't agreed to them being here. How on earth can we give him another fortune given what hes done previously with the cash?
