Are you advocating Arsenal ditch Wenger to bring in a new manager because of his lack of success for the last 7 years.

They have never finished outside the top 4 and built a new state of the art stadium during this period.

All this without spending crazy money on players and selling for big profits when they let some go.

Stylish football too. I would say Wenger has done pretty well overall.

We have won trophies but almost went in administration during the same period and are still
playing in ranshackled ground that isnt fit for purpose.

On the whole our transfer dealings have been poor and costly.

Cups are great like but football simply isnt all about cups and great achievements can be
made without lifting a trophy.

Arsenal will finish above us again this year by the way.

I think using arsenal as an example is not a very good one to be honest. In real terms what has finishing in the top 4 done for them?
They have a new stadium. So what? It generates more income. What for? As you said they make profits and dont spend it stupidly on players, yet the players they have dont win anything. So what is the point?
They finish above us again. But without a trophy. Again.
Arsenal are the perennial also rans who have a shiny stadium and a great manager with class players and fu'ck all to show for it.

.....of a club which is well run, has invested in a new stadium and have a great footing to make a title push next season, yes I completely agree.

BTW I'd take a top 4 finish over domestic cup success and I'm fairly certain FSG would as well.

Above us...and trophyless...again. Not sure why Arsenal are being bandied around so much. Another example of the dividing line between the two main kinds of supporter. Some want to hang out in the top 4, wandering out every now and then, happy so long as they end there come the end of the season so they can enter into the Champs League, knowing they have no real chance of winning it. Still, ya get lots of money for it, so success and triumph are secondary.

Then on the other hand we have Kenny, one full season back, one, maybe two trophies gleaming away in the cabinet. We've had a poor league campaign but many of us are excited of the prospect of a clean start next season. Positive thinking, looking up...

Arsenal? Who the fook are Arsenal?

If we had 100,000 seater stadium I would hazard a guess that there are a fair few on here would still not make the effort to actually support the team with a visit....

Never had chance to go, myself. Travel, finances etc. I go to watch us whenever we play up in the north though, but my ultimate goal is to be in the Kop, singing YNWA. Even seeing it on TV is enough to make me go all goosepimply. I can only imagine the thrill of being a part of it.  I will get there, one day  :D

It is a brilliant stadium but why was is built for midgets? there is like zero leg room in the seats, it's very uncomfortable.

No, but it puts Martinez in an even better light.  :D

Look I never said I wanted Pardew here, but youhave to admit he's done wonders at Newcastle, anyway I'm still replaying Luis's 3rd goal in my mind, what a strike, and what a time for him to get into form.  :buttrock

I guess your talking about the Best Manager in th World according to the bitters! Moyes was actually spending approximately £5m a year during Rafa's tenure.Interestingly Rafa's net spend only averaged just over £10m a year but he had CL qualification and trophies to show for it one of which I seem to remember was the European Cup (CL).Moyes has accepted the easy life at a club that lacks ambition and accepts mediocrity.Winning nothing during his ten years at Everton suggests to me that he is simply an average manager and really nothing else.
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)
