Who is this world class respected manager we will get if Kenny goes ?
I remember the lengthy discussions that happened when people were asking for Rafa to go.
The question was who would replace him and the answers were generally
Hiddink, Maureen, Rijkaard etc and who did we end up with ? Yes Roy Hodgson a manager who had won nothing. Yet people were still adamant we could attract one of these highly sought after managers. We couldn't and guess what - we still can't now.
You are talking nonsense, the reason why Hodgson was appointed back then was because no decent manager would have touched us.
The club was in civil war with the owners, they had already come out and said they had little money to spend and we had no Champions League.
So you can crow all day about people wanting your Hiddinks, Mourinhos but the reality was that we were never going to get anyone good enough to replace Benitez under that current state.
At the moment our club is in a much more stable position upstairs (although we have no CL to offer) and I would think that we are in a much better position to bring in a decent manager at the end of the season.
That is if Kenny and club part ways at the end of the season.
And I don't buy into this whole its Kenny or no one else nonsense. Are you guys really saying that there is no other manager out there who can do a better job then Kenny?!? Talk about one f**kin eyed cyclops supporters!
Some great points raised there.
Our club is a very attractive opportunity for any manager who wants to awaken a sleeping giant in both the English league and Europe.
I don’t buy the cr@p that Liverpool has become (overnight) a forgotten mid table team....Everyone in the world has heard of Liverpool FC and we’d have no trouble finding someone better than Kennt...however, Kenny is still our manager and, despite the win, i felt we were poor against one of the worst teams in the league. We’ve still got huge problems with our set up, tactics and approach and the Everton game could be the make or break moment for Kenny’s tenure as our manager.
