I think blame is probably the wrong word
There are legitimate reasons why we are where we are, some of which you have mentioned.
And its also KK's responsibility as well as the players to make sure we win games
KK is the manager so the buck has to stop with him

i find it more funny that most of the ones that blame Kenny are also the main ones that would not blame Rafa.

Still can't see how you can blame him for that since he had to wheel and deal with every transfer he did. Most of the times he even had to sell players he wanted to keep in order to buy player that he hoped would be a little bit better. It's very hard to do transfers like that. No other big clubs does that. At the same time we hade the worlds crappiest owners and we bought into the hype about Rafa being the fat spanish waiter that actually was the reason the club didn't accomplish more. I bet the oppositions fans are happy now.
Just take a look at the team we had around 2007.
First eleven
Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Alonso, Kuyt, Riise, Gerrard and Torres.
Subs
Lucas, Crouch, Babel, Pennant, Benayon, Kewell, Agger, Insua, Sissoko and Skrtel.
Net spend is what's really shows how good your transfers are compared to the end results. Rafa finished amongst the top most of his years and took us far in the finest club competition in the world. I would be happy to have most of those subs in our first eleven by now.

When will people shut up about net spend. Whats the point of a great net spend if you buy 30 players and sell 30 oplayers a season so you never get any cohesion in the team. If the team has no time to bond it doesn't matter how much you have spent or not spent. The team needs time to gel and bond.
Rafas time was up, hes gone, move on. This is a completely different topic now.

As I said wheeling and dealing is not something any manager wants to do. It comes down to resources. With ***** backing as Rafa had he had to do it.
He had his faults but he was the best manager we had for a long time.
RED BEERGOGGLES » Fri Apr 06, 2012 3:30 pm wrote:We need you now, Kenny Dalglish tells Liverpool FC fans
KENNY DALGLISH believes Liverpool FC supporters can play a key role in helping to restore his side’s belief at Anfield tomorrow.
The boss admits a dismal run of six defeats in seven league games has taken its toll on confidence levels in the squad ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.
But Dalglish is hoping the backing of a capacity home crowd will help inspire the Reds to a morale-boosting victory.
“It’s really important to be supportive of each other,” he said. “There’s not one faction of the football club that’s more important than the other – we can all help each other.
“We can help the punters by putting on a good performance and getting a good result.
“They can help us by giving us good support and encouragement that helps the players. I’m sure we’ll get fantastic support on Saturday and that’s when we really need them. When you think of the quality of the players we have got, and you say they maybe lack a bit of confidence or belief, you say that can’t be right because they are great players.
“But confidence and belief is a huge thing.
“It doesn’t matter how good you are, that’s still a large proportion of where your performance comes from.
“If they are confident and they have the belief, it’s going to be helpful. And if they feel other people have the belief in them that’s going to help as well.
“It seems strange when you talk about players of really high quality having taken a wee confidence knock but that’s a fact of life.”
The Reds will be up against a depleted Villa still coming to terms with skipper Stiliyan Petrov being diagnosed with acute leukaemia. Alex McLeish’s side boast just one win in eight games and are only five points above the relegation zone.
“They have been unfortunate with the news about Stiliyan Petrov, and that puts football into a bit of perspective,” Dalglish said. “Villa were a much changed side against Chelsea last week but if they were a wee bit upset about Stiliyan they didn’t show it in the game.
“We know it’s going to be difficult. They will come here with a lot of determination and grit. We need the help and support of each other – on the pitch and off it.”
Meanwhile, Dirk Kuyt’s agent, Rob Jansen, says the Liverpool FC forward would consider a move to Italy this summer.
Kuyt has said he intends to weigh up his options at the end of the season after losing his role as a regular starter for the Reds.
“Roma could be an option for Dirk,” Jansen said.
“They are a prestigious club that is fighting for important objectives. I can say that Roma is part of the list of clubs that Kuyt would take seriously into account

Compared to other top clubs around europe our team back then our team was not so great. He was a great servant to the club the same way I think KK will always be remembered as one too. I hope this period of KK career won't leave a sour "taste" in peoples thoughts about him. Still did a lot to steady the ship last year and I wanted him here on a permanent basis. It was not wrong to offer him that position. We got who we wanted and some kudos should be given to the owners for that and also for the amounts of money spent.
As we don't know all the facts its hard to know what sort of blame KK deserves but in the end the manager has to take the blame in the same way Rafa did. A team like Liverpool should never accept finishing below 6th. Rafa should have concentrated on the "on field" activities though I will still love him for his way to hound the owners around. I don't think he gets the plaudits he deserves for his other seasons though.
KK has not worked out as I wished but that's how life is sometimes. To compare that to Hodgsons results which never even gave me hope to see us go forward.
None of our players or manager should ever be booed or something similar at games just for not reaching the results we want.
