he's not allowed time. after a year if we're not top 4 he has to go.

forget the fact that we nearly went out of business a year ago and have lost several world class players in the meantime.

so under Hodgson we were underperforming, now under kenny, with 100+ million investment, we're rubbish?

Can't have it both ways and i fail to believe that our squad was that bad. We had a solid keeper, defence, and a work class mid fielder and striker in Gerrard and Suarez. Kenny was on the cusp of breaking us back into the top 4 this summer...sadly he spent his money on poor players who shouldn't be anywhere near Liverpool FC and that's why things have gone wrong.

its head vs heart here for me. I absolutely love Dalglish and eveything he's done for the club. I would absolutely hate to be the man making the decision regarding management in the summer.
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

FSG are not "supporters" like us, so the decision will come down to 'business'. Is the manager getting the results? Has he spent our investment money well enough? Has this season been good enough? Has he met our minimum expectations? Ultimately is this man the man to lead the club forward? These are questions I'd imagine FSG will be discussing amongst themselves at the close of the season.

Humouring this talk of change.

NO we couldn't tempt him here. He's already turned down Chelsea, he's happy where he is.

NEXT.................................

so are you saying that any manager would rather go to Chelsea than to us, that's a bit disrespectful towards Liverpool and I don't agree with you. The answer is simple, unless we can get a good young manager to take over then rehire Rafa on a 1-year contract with a promise of a longer term extension if things go well.

Nail on head. The same people calling for Woys head are begging for more time for KK, even though results are the same (maybe even worse under KK with the money spent?)

it is, as said on here, heart over head in some peoples thinking

What's equally as bad is those who called for Rafa's head and wanted Dalglish, now want Dalglish sacked and Rafa rehired.

You might laugh, but it's true and I never called for Rafa's head, not once in his tenure as manager. What I did want Benitez to do was wind his neck in and stop acting like an arrogant imbecile as I was embarrassed by a lot of things he was saying in his pre and post match press conferences, notably that "rant" which never was which just sounded petty and very childish in the grand scheme of things.

The players in this day and age get away with absolute f#cking murder. We've been screwed ever since the senior players essentially decided they didn't want to play for Rafa at the end of his reign. Hodgson never had their support from day one and now it's as if they've stopped playing for kenny aswell. The recent displays have been a disgrace. I don't care about tactics. There's been no heart or desire. And before you say "well it's the manager's job to motivate them" if you come to play for Liverpool and can't motivate yourself to play for the greatest player this club has ever had then you shouldn't be here simple as. Absolutely sick of players going missing time and time again. If they don't  want to play for the manager they can all f#ck off.

this, Sir, is the worst and most nonsensical statement i've ever seen in this forum.

please explain what's nonsensical about it, or would that be to tricky for you? I'm saying that we have a very good manager, Rafa, who is chomping at the bit to take over again, but we are still a bit unsure about him maybe so we give him a 1 year contract with an option to extend if he does well, kind of what we did for kenny. I'd rather have a fresh start with a new manager though. So please tell me what's nonsense about that using big boy words.

It's player power. Someone like Gerrard can do whatever he likes, because if Liverpool don't want him then likes of Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea will. Top players like Mascherano, Gerrard etc can do whatever they want, we've seen that with Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli at Man City. It's disgraceful but that's the way football goes. I remember Arsenal fans saying that Cesc won't leave unless Wenger says so. How naive, Cesc was always going to be a Barcelona player at some point because that's where he wanted to go.

The players aren't performing for whatever reason, that's one reason as to why we've been doing so badly in the league, the second reason is that we lack genuine quality in a number of areas.

if Kenny's lost the dressing room then he might as well pack it in now.
