What's the point of giving him a 3 year contract if you don't give him that time to build a team he wants in his image? His future is being discussed 2 weeks after winning the club's first trophy in 6 years. Seriously?

Listen I'm not happy with the League form but for all this man has done for the Club he deserves the chance to put it right.

We've won 2 games in the last 11 in the league...that's relegation form. What's more, we're on the verge of dropping out of the top 10!

and yet beat the bitters in the week and our form may turn. you just don't know in football. two weeks ago everyone had written wenger's obituary. since then he's smashed spurs and milan and beat us and looks on course for 4th now.

i'll ask you a question. if we finish say 6th or 7th this season and yet win the carling and fa cup, would you class that as a failure? if you say yes i find that quite staggering.

7th in the league is a failure...and the league cup doesn't change anything for me. It's a micky mouse cup.

The FA Cup?  that would improve things...but finishing outside the top 10?  That's not good enough, and Kenny can't trade off his past glories while he leads us into mid table oblivion

I am torn. I just feel it is  just a matter of time really anyway as I honestly don't think he is the man to take us forward.
But the season isn't over and a 6th place finish together with a final in the Fa cup and I'll give him some more time.
But if this we are seeing now is going to continue until the end of the season and we finish even worse of than we are now in the league
we might as well get someone new in the summer as I don't trust Kenny with the transfer kitty.
So right now I'd have to say no, but that can change until the end of the season.

I console myself with the fact most of the posters who voted yes are the same group that had little faith in Lucas's obvious ability and couldn't wait to
express their lack of faith in Benitez ,yet were more than willing to allow a clown like Hodgson more time to drag us even further down .

Go figure

so you have full faith in kenny's ability to build a title winning team?

Could someone to compare Kenny and Roy's stats...i bet there isn't much in it.

Greavesie wrote:It's not really as simple as that imo. After Rafa's last year and project owl we left ourselves with a LOT of rebuilding to do. It's hard to judge progress after this short stint with Kenny and I fear we may be jumping the gun and turning into a mid table Chelsea should we give Kenny the bullet

On the other hand Kenny's signings leave a lot to be desired and I'm questioning whether I would trust him with any more funds. I fear he doesn't have a great understanding of players outside of the country and that bit of flair and ability to unlock the defence is sorely missing.

Throughout the season our football has been generally good and if we'd scored more of the times we'd hit the post we could easily be looking at a totally different season

I voted no but I've got one eye of Jurgen Klopp...

Spot on Greavsie, how can we judge Kenny when he has a MASSIVE job in his hands. We just came back from one of our darkest days in our history and he basically revitalized the club after Roy Hodgson. To ask him to go after a short time is disgraceful :no  He needs time and patience, he deserves another chance like any other manager, he deserves to rectify his mistakes in the transfer market and buy better, he deserves to set up his team correctly, HE EARNED IT after what he has done to this club. Its unfortunate that most of our fans are expecting so much that they lose sight of reality.

NOT ALL MATE! Not all, I'm one of those who wanted Rafa to go at the end of the season and thought Lucas wasn't good enough. However, I'm 100% behind Kenny! He deserves his chance.

one has us 7th in the league, winners of the carling cup and in the quarter finals of the fa cup.

the other had us in the bottom 3, out the fa cup, dumped out of the league cup by northampton, played off the park at home by blackpool, humiliated by everton. not to mention the worst pr i've ever seen from a liverpool manager. if hodgson had stayed, lucas and agger wouldn't even be at the club now. oh and we'd have carlton cole upfront.

Hate to say it but Kenny looks a bit lost, we have been on the slide for a while now and dont look good enough for a top 7/8 finish never mind top 4!
Lose to the Bluesh..... on tuesday and we will be looking up at them  :(
Biggest worry for me is that Kenny has been tactically useless for a while now and I dont see it getting any better.
For me Kenny has nothing to prove to any of us and will always be a hero at Anfield, but this not working and needs addressing before it becomes embarrassing.

Kenny quoted as satsified by this year performance by the new lads considering we won the Carling cup...This kinda of quote smake you wonder is Kenny connected to reality...

With that said i still voted for him to stay. But ffs Kenny stay focused.

Can't say i noticed you left...but the only 'moaning' i've done in a manager previous to this was Rafa...you know, the guy who you claimed was a die hard Liverpool fan...the guy who was also onthe telly today saying how much he wants the Chelsea job

However, away from that,  our situation is dire and i make no appologies for pointing out the fact that our manager is struggling.
Today we played the worst game of football i've seen in years, and Kenny has come out and said we were "unlucky".

Is he supposed to stop working or leave the country when we fire him from the job?

I guess Kenny isnt much of a liverpool fan either as he managed both Newcastle and Blackburn.
