How can you say that?

Rafa had Alonso, Reina, Torres, Masch, Lucas etc to mitigate  for Keane, Dossena etc

Kenny has only bought ****. The are practically only players on the latter category from him...

Torres, Alonso and Masch was bought for 45 million by Rafa and later sold for 100 million. I don't ever see any of Kenny's signings
having that kind of developent..

More like Caroll, Downing, Henderson and Adam bought for 80 million and sold in a few years for 40 million...

based on what? His hit rate for good first teamers was pretty good I would say. I know he bought a sh!tload of bogstandard reserve sh!t but in terms of actual first teamers he was good I would say

he got some good ones, but he also had a HUGE turnover in players...

don't you start  :D

i think some 'fans' forget that Liverpool is an ENGLISH team...and the new rules mean it MUST field HOME players.

Actually, the homegrown rule merely requires PL clubs to have within their squads eight 'homegrown' players, and not a single one of them has to be English.

We could have met the quota without having to bring in any new homegrown players (Jones, Carra, Kelly, Robinson, Flanagan, Spearing, Shelvey, Gerrard...to say nothing of our reserves or those out on loan who also qualified) or spending £70m to bring in English talent.

Rafa hit the jackpot with Alonso.

For five years we had a midfield that routinely dictated the game. Look at that 2nd half in Istanbul... Alonso peppering passes all over the show. Then there was Garcia.. so many crucial goals. Mascherano was another great signing.. a world class partnership with Xabi. Reina... world class keeper. The defence was largely Houllier's work, but he also lumbered Rafa with Cisse. Torres was another stunning buy. The only area Rafa never got right was the wings, we were just never quite good enough on either side.

So far Kenny struck gold with Suarez, while Enrique was a very good signing.

Its the English lot, with the geordie the most prominent, that has been calamitous transfer dealings by Kenny.

i can say that as Rafa took over 70 players to this club. did we have 70 good players? did we have 60 good players? did we have 50 good players? did we have 40 good players? 30? 20?

I think lfc tv had his hit rate at 1.4 in 10 buys......not good.

So which is worse..

Buying 10 players for 3 million to fill out the squad and not good enough or spending 20 million on a player not good enough?

10?
What have you been smoking?

It was 6.3!

And... as with Keane Rafa contrary to Kenny accepted his mistake and sold Morientes for 3.5 million. Will Kenny sell Adam in the summer? Like hell he will....

with add on he cost us 10mil

and sorry i dont stand for all this, he sold players for so much so he only spent this much.

Rafa spent money, he took over 70 players to this club and only about 12 were any good.

kenny been here a year, a year when he main best players have been unfit or banned.

And?

Rafa spent like 150 million in 6 years!
Kenny has spent över 100 million in 1 and a half!

So with any other manager it is his fault of we do poorly, but when Kenny is manager, it is the referees, bans, injuries, bad luck etc etc... :no

And still we qualified for the champions league in all of those first 5 seasons....
We had one poor season under Rafa and that was the last one. But then again many on these forums were dissatisfied that we only finished 3rd and went to the semis in the CL.
