Agree totally. we've been poor for a long time and what Kenny does over thru next 7 games will determine his future as manager of Liverpool

Not sure what LFC you have been watching lads but the one I have watched on a number of occasions over the past weeks/months is not a sham. Highest chance, shot on target and corner count in the league as well as the 2nd best defensive record and you call that a sham??  ??? Get a grip lads. Oh and forgot to mention we have hit the woodwork something like 20+ times. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out where the problem is!!

KK's methods have to be called into question because he keeps tinkering with not only the players but the formation. We have struggled big time without Suarez but if we were to convert some of the chances we had produced season to date it would be a completely different story!!

Saturday was woeful but it's a one off and KK will get the guys firing on all cylinders again soon enough.

Top 4 remains possible. Remember the run we went on from Jan last season. Suarez back coupled with a settles team and the addition of a couple of players in the Jan window and we will back up and running IMO. We have to click soon if a top 4 finish is to be achieved - whist Arsenal and Chelsea are struggling as well.

good post - sense at last!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

after what we've been through with management and ownership issues, injuries and downright stupid mistakes getting back into the CL spots this season was a tall order, however much we all desperately want it. managers and owners included. the money spent obviously creates an amount of expectation, but perversely doesn't mean that we should expect top 4.

its disappointing as feck but we should be more realistic about where we actually stand as a club right now. we really lack quality and need to be patient and try and turn certain investments into the quality we need - which obviously may or may not succeed. so we need to place our trust in someone to guide us bit by bit in an upwards direction, and as much as i'm concerned by some of kenny's recent decisions i struggle to think of someone who knows the club better and epitomises the aspirations it has.

I have a very strange feeling we might be getting Rafa back as a manager, with good owners and a decent amount of money to spend it could be very interesting, he did after all take us the closest to winning the league of any manager in 20 years and tactically I think he is head and shoulders over KK.

never......many blame Rafa for setting the club up in such a way that it was a good CL club but a poor Prem club.

70 someing players he took here and very few could play in the prem...........................no no no stop, going to control myself and going to get some air.

I think Rafa tried to do right by the club but at the same time he constantly had 1 hand tied behind his back with the owners at the time. Just think if he had been given the same sort of funds FSG could offer. We may well have ended up with a side that could compete in both Europe AND at home. And we may have managed to get the likes of Simao, Silva and whoever else we missed out on at the time.

That was then and this is now and I still think Kenny is the right man for the job but he needs more money. Breaking back into the top 4 is a lot harder now than it was 4 years ago and the funds Kenny is given should reflect the size of the task. I don't mean just 1 or 2 windows either. He needs consistent backing if we are serious about a top 4 place.

if he had not spent so much on :censored: players and :censored: youth players he would have more to spend on better players, the fact is that he was not very good at picking good players, 1 in 10.

thats not good for any manager and thats why he is finding hard to get another job here in England, he asks for all the power at the club but has not shown he knows what to do with it when its given.

Kennys hand was forced when it come to buying a striker with 12hrs left, thats why we paide so much.

Mate im not going through this again but im sure you can appreciate if you have 11mil to spend as oppose to 30mil for a player then your options are going to be more plentiful, not to mention we not so reliant on players first exiting before we buy. He showed on plenty of occasions when given the money to get his 1st choice that he brought in the right players: eg Torres, Alonso, Mascherano ect... The fact that we were trying to compete with the rest of the big boys on a net spend of 25mil each year doesn't seem to compute.

In any case it's history now so I won't keep harping on about it. But we still have an issue of the transfer window closing and we need some fresh faces.

If Rafa is finding it hard to get a job its most likely because he is being picky and only wants to work on a project he believes in.

Not many clubs would turn down a man thats won the Europa League, Champions league and domestic cups in the 2 biggest league's in world football.

I f.uckin hate the way the media try big up managers like Mark Hughes, MON and Roy Hodgson while bad mouthing Rafa.  Unfortunately the people running our club at the time actually did listen to the media's opinion.

  that's a 'balanced' post alright...

Kenny didn't need to buy Carroll... he was a caretaker manager and we aren't going to be relegated... and how many games did Carroll play that season?
