Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Rushie?!

Let's not be fooking silly, Rush would carry even more concerns than Kenny FFS

It's not going great like it has to be said but I'm not certain sacking him is the answer, we can't keep chopping and changing but we badly need that bit of creativity and ability to put the ball in the fooking net

someone with an understanding of the modern game would be a start. I mean, we've spent 35 million on Carrol, but how many top 4 sides play with a target man?

KEnny's needs to wise up and fast, because he's close to losing the plot!

Well if you buy a target man you think you'd play to his strengths but I don't think he's put the effort in to adapt to the way we play either.

Its a huge concern and one I've had before the season even started. If we want to be getting the best out of our players surely some consistency in terms of selection and role would go some way in achieving that.
I'm not going to get into other areas that have been discussed to death but I'll just say this, the sooner we get the best 11 out on the pitch on merit rather than price tag the better.

Where have i heard this before......

LOL!

Bigmick's rotation thread :D

adebayor, Dzeko and Drogba are big lads...but they're not hoof ball target men like Carroll. If you don't believe me then watch Drogba recieve the ball, control it and pass.

Then compare it to Carroll as the ball bounces off his shins and he falls over trying to win it back

I don't give a sh!t if he's a target man or whatever the :censored: nhe's supposed to be. For a tenner he's been a crock of sh!t. I wanted to back the lad but we've been without Suarez for 7 games and what impact has Andy had in that time. Sell him and get in a proven striker who can compliment Luis. I'd kill for Cavani

They are all target men m8 its just those three also have actual, technical footballing ability  :D

Big Andy took a nicely weighted 10yd pass in the first half tonight and managed to knock it about 12yds up and in front of him, it really summed up his entire Liverpool career for me, that and his second half air swing

Nerrowing it all on Andy is simplistic and not factual based...Suarez our Ace is miles from being our ideal clinical stiker thus far...And what About the MF and their role in the game? Adam? Downing? Hendo? Where is our RB Johnson the magnificent? How about Grandpa Kuyt? Or aging Maxi? Not to mention manager tactics ,subs ,system? And what about team spirit and Mentality? We have a huge challange and blaming it on Andy is plain wrong.

Individually they were players who were the top performers at their clubs when they came here. But somehow they cannot collectively gel. Whether that is down to tactics or motivation who knows, it's hard looking in from the outside as we haven't a clue what's going on inside the club. Something isn't right though, and Kewell is right, we are in freefall.

reports on Twitter that theres been a bust up in our changing room and Kenny has had a big rant at a reporter who asked him if he thinks he should step down as he has made big mistakes that have cost the club a lot of money.

This is the only report i can find so far and fair kop to KK.

http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/132289.html

Poor performance tonight from those on the field of play - and they must take a share of the blame.

How can Bellers run his socks off but no other player have that ability.

I aint got any issues with KK right now, we aint going to perform in everygame, thats life, but we're progressing and with two or three new faces next summer we can nail top 4.

And then from there we then aim for top 2 etc ect.
