well i made no appolgies for the fact i wanted Villas-Boas, but that's passed now he's at the Chavs.

Who else? I wouldn't want to say until the summer when we assess the situation. But 4th is a minimum. And, to repeat, if kenny can't achieve it with 10s of millions he's spent then he'll have to go.

No he wont have to go - its that reactionary attitude in football that will get us nowhere - constant changing of managers will get us nowhere .

We need to build and we need to have realistic ambitions .

Getting into the 4th spot is a massive task when you consider the team we are up against . Man City spent £400 million to get into the top 4 and you expect it to be guarenteed because we spent 70 -90 mil

Choping and changing a manager will not help us at all .

Kenny deserves a chance to build the team - not just be given one season and then be booted out if he doesnt meet your expectations .

Im pretty sure our owners are a bit more paitent than some fans and i fully expect kenny to be given full back for a number of years .

i don't agree. 100+ million pounds and 1.5 years is enough time and money to transform an under performing team (that already had some of the best players in the league) into a top 4 side.

Anything less is total failure.

I know you dont agree - it was to be expected from the demanding instant success type of fans we have now .

Man City spent £400 mil to get in too the top 3 ( and didnt sell their best player )

we spent what

Henderson - 16 mil
Downing -18 mil
Adam - 6 mil
Enrique 6-8 mil
Suarez -22 mil
Carroll 35 mil
Coates - 6 mil

Sold Torres for 50 mil plus odds and sodds for around 5 mil

Outlay of 111ish mil but making 55ish mil so we have really only spent around 60 mil

Still nowhere near the amount City spent to get into the top four -

You expect instant success from a net spend of 60 mil ?

Instant success type fan?

I've been a red since the mid 80s so you'll have to explain why i'm STILL A RED if im an instant success type.

Anyway, what's the fact we got £50 million for Torres have to do with anything?   ???

Our manger has time and money to transform our team into a top 4 side. It's not like i'm demding the league title.

You'll be spouting on about a new '5 year programme' next

it's scary how much more quality spurs have in their front 6 than us, suarez aside. i could seethem finishing 3rd this season. we could well be fighting it out with arsenal and chelsea for 4th.

which is why we desperatly need to raise our game.

If we finish outside the top 4 again we'll be in a dire place and it wont be long before the likes of Suarez will be having their heads turned by offers of Champions League footie.

Don't know if anyone caught the Spurs game today and Yesterdays City game but it demonstrated the gap currently between us and the other top teams. I mean Both QPR and Fulham were much better then the bigger teams but those with clinical brutal utilization of their goal attemps won their respective games..

Frustrating.

City are going to be clinical - they have spent half a billion on players .

As for Spurs they were extremely lucky to win that game - Freidal kept them in it plus Fulham should of had a blatant penalty

I don't believe in getting rid of Kenny if we fail to qualify for CL. I am of the opinion he should be given another season to prove himself. Changing managers too often will discourage future great managers from joining us.  He made too many average midfielder signings in the summer and didn't look for a quality striker thinking A.C. was good enough but by the look of things he isn't and like one of you said, he has talent but he's not cut out to be a Liverpool player. So I hope to see we'll sign a quality frontman in the Jan. window

I'm worried!!!!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Dropped points at home to Norwich, Sunderland, Swansea and manure.  Considering we always beat manure at home, that's 8 points dropped at home compared to 6 gained at home from the 2 wins against 2 of the worst teams in the prem.

At least we look alright away.

Pathetic and clueless - relegated ??? Have a word with yourself

Oh shush benny it was a joke.

I still believe we can get 4th if we turn things around like we did last season when Kenny first arrived.  If not, then we're probably looking at 6th or 7th.

Even how were playing now I can't see us finishing worse then that.
