1-0 at HT, after dominating. Sounds a bit like Sunderland. Hope Carroll's likely introduction in the 2nd half doesn't end with us hoofing balls forward chasing a late 2nd goal after they've scored an equaliser on a set piece.

good first half, need to keep up the pressure in the 2nd and kill the game off

Adam, Henderson, Lucas, Downing and Suarez all looked great

It looks like the team lost balance when Kelly went off. Henderson and Adam have been brilliant and Hendo should have 2 assists to go with the goal. I don't think Henderson will be as influential in the 2nd as he is going to have to sit little deeper to help out the RB.

It should be 3-0

Good first half. Henderson, Enrique, Agger and Suarez have been great. Adam and Lucas go on and off a bit, tho I think Adam's had a pretty decent game. Downing is great whenever he has the ball but don't seem to be involving him as much as usual.

Kuyt's being Kuyt and I'm fine with that. Carra doesn't seem all that involved which is probably a good thing, and Reina hasn't had too much to worry about.

I know I often complain about refs because that's what I do, but this one has been horrible. Litterally 6 or 7 easy calls that he's gotten wrong. He's made 4 wrong corner kick decisions already.. I mean cmon.

Best 45 minutes for Henderson. And not just because of the goal. He has made some very nice passes. Hoping to get a 2nd. Not another Sunderland repeat.

Looking good so far (I think...my streams keep c.rapping out). We need to start the second half the same way we started the first and get a quick second. Whatever we do, no repeating the second half against Sunderland. Come on lads.

Good to see Aam and Henderson having a good game. Adam looking Alonsque with his range of passing and Henderson staring to look the part.

Suarez the usual....

But Lucas my pick.

Lucas and Suarez running the show for me...
Adam played a few good passes and did relatively well to keep us on top in possession terms..
Henderson took his goal very well and gave an absolute peach of a pass to Suarez who missed badly on the chip..
Downing has been quiet and needs to improve in the second half...
Kuyt has done okay with his movement but again needs to improve his final ball..
The backline havent been tested for me, but I'd still want to see more of Enrique going forward especially with Kelly coming off injured to be replaced by Skrtel..

Overall, Kenny got it right going for a possession style of play against this lot.. Carroll being on the bench is a good call and shows the difference between a direct long ball approach and a short passing style of play based on possession and off the ball movement...

The only substitution I'd make based on the 1st half is looking to bring on Maxi for one of our wide players...

Hopefully Lucas is ok.

If not probably expect Carroll on with Henderson going centre mid and Kuyt on the right ?
