wow, I find that hard to believe but I think the football flows better without Carroll

Maybe KD is trying to do what he did against Arsenal with Carroll. Bring him in to the game late after Suarez has worn the defense down, they aren't used to any ariel challenge and all the sudden Carroll starts ripping it apart.

Not thrilled Hendo is starting again.

Wanted to see Maxi in the starting lineup ahead of Henderson but oh well, with Gerrard and Meireles out its a little more understandable.. Hopefully he goes out there and proves us doubters wrong... In a 3 man midfield you would think he'd be the one playing higher up (I prefer Adam in the role but Kenny doesnt seem to) so he should be linking up with Suarez. Downing and Kuyt as often as he can..

Elsewhere its pretty standard picking but it will still be interesting to see how our style of play is affected by the absence of Carroll..

Prediction : 2-0 Suarez and Downing

Lucas
Hendo Adam
Suarez/Kuyt Downing
Kuyt/Suarez

I'm happy enough. If he is playing RW in a 442 I have concerns.

Hendo Adam
Suarez/Kuyt Downing
Kuyt/Suarez

Unless KD is using masterful tactics in not starting Carroll, I'd start Carroll and move Kuyt to RW. Kuyt is a much better winger then Hendo imo.

I wouldn't mind seeing Maxi on the left and pushing Downing over to the right, although Downing and Enrique have been working really well together.
