Id be disgusted if Jose became Liverpool manager.  We Could all forget about attacking football or the liverpool way.  It would all die with his appointment

Today wasn’t a one off, we’ve been poor a few times this season and our inconsistency is still there, as is our inability to score goals.

We need a manger who can work out how to battle through the lesser teams, we also need someone who won’t tell our players to HOOF the ball when plan A doesn't work...we also need a manager who wont be afraid to drop the likes of Carra.

But most of all, our club needs a new start, and it needs to start up top with the boss. Move Kenny back upstairs, and lets get someone who is on the up and ready to take the reins of our great club and make us great once more. Otherwise, mid table obscurity awaits us all.

This is what they call a Latepril fool!

Kenny has saved our season as far as I'm concerned by getting us up to where we are. Couldn't expect much after the start we had.

Even if the points made in the thread starter were valid/true it is an ABSOLUTE non-starter because of the support Kenny has from the fans. A new man (no matter who he was) wouldn't stand a chance if they decided against Kenny for the job. So for that reason alone it's a bad idea.

disagree. sentimental value should not be embraced at the expense of progress.

The first thing the owners need to do is commit to Kenny and then give him some substantial funds to improve our team. Then we need to get rid of the players that are unable to help us achieve our top 4 aspirations.

Kenny will definitly get the job.  Comolli is on board to oversee transfers etc so if Kenny is not the man we're not left totally screwed.  Thats the plan anyways I believe.

I disagree.

Chelsea hardly played boring football when he won the league here. Inter were boring yes but the Italian league is slow and boring, besides he still won the double. Real Madrid may not work out, if only for the fact that he is having to compete with arguably the best club team ever.

Whilst many may not like Mourinho, no one can doubt his credentials. The man is a genius at motivating players into winning teams.

At Chelsea he motivates and provided tactical insight and let Steve Clarke work it out on the training pitch. I can honestly see them being reunited if he becomes available.

Kenny himself has said he will willingly step aside if the board think there is someone better available. Now i'm not saying Kenny is worse than Mourinho but realistically he is only going to get one (maybe two) seasons to prove otherwise. I sincerely hope he succeeds, nothing would make me happier. But with my sensible hat on you cannot ignore the potential that Mourinho provides, he is one of two managers who can say he has succeeded at a European level and won the Premier League on more than one occasion. His credentials fit our goals.

agree with you. people hate his because of his arrogance but it wouldn't be considered arrogance if the sides were switched. if he was our manager and he put his finger to his lips to silence the manc fans, he would be greatly loved. if he did whatever he did as a Liverpool manager, it would be considered style. the only reason why it isn't is because we're on the receiving end of it. he may be cocky but he delivers.

If Mourhino showed any interest in taking the Liverpool job then I am sure Dalglish would move aside and allow a guy of his calibre to take the reigns. Same goes for any of your top dogs in the game, big hitters, surely Dagger would be as good as his word and welcome the club moving forward under a younger guy.We need to be sure we dont get over emotional and he Dalglish should only get the job if hes the best candidate and our very best option, not just for now, but longer term as well. The style thing is over hyped, if we are winning games no one will be complaing too much and weve hit a few long balls the past few weeks with Kenny at the helm as well. The club has a massive decision over the manager and my own guess is they are still keeping options open until the season ends when a picture of who may or not be available is clear.
