A 10-man Spurs team at that.

No, Mourinho I don't want either. He is indisputably a great manager - he gets players to run through walls for him. But his teams don't always play the sort of football I want to see Liverpool playing (yes, I'd rather a winning team than a pretty team, but I do want to see good football). More importantly, his track record of jumping ship suggests he is not the guy who will build something long term, which is what we need.

exactly, what most LFC fans want is a football dynasty that last till our grand children's era and not a "quickie" with the self declared "special one"

In my eyes Barca are an exception to any rule. We can all sit and ask why Real aren't winning the league and have a little laugh about it but the fact of the matter is Barca are head and shoulders above everyone right now, competing with that is almost impossible. Real would be winning any other league in the world IMO, just unfortunate for them they're in the same one as Barcelona.

Regardless about the 10 men as well, Tottenham didn't show much attacking intent when he was on the pitch, I highly doubt that would have changed too much if I'm being honest. Harry has to learn how to play two legged football, it was always going to work against Italian sides who don't set up to score loads of goals but Real were always going to play them at their own game, and Tottenham got found out

Stick with Kenny would be my first choice, but if not its got to be Maureen.  His record is amazing.

I think its funny that people say he doesnt stick around long, Chelsea have done ok since he left and I am sure if he helped us win us our first title in 20 odd years then we would survive after him if he chose to leave.  However I dont think he would have left Chelsea if he wasnt pushed out by Roman.  WOuld Mr Henry do that to him?  Not so sure!

But as I said at the top Kenny is the man for me
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Kenny will never be a longterm solution. So if we are looking for a longterm football dynasty I dont think we want Kenny or Maureen.

If we are looking for a win to get us started Maureen would be a good bet, but i'm not so sure he is interested.

disagree. sentimental value should not be embraced at the expense of progress.

I wasn't embracing sentimental value because I think Kenny desrves to be given the job and he will be.

The point I was making is you can't win at Anfield without the support of the fans. You can't. I don't know how anyone can argue with that.

The fans will recognise Dalglish as one of us. They'll not call for his head, but if he gets funds, fails and gets replaced we'd welcome the new guy and still sing King Kenny's name, recognising that whatever happens next year, he saved us this season and brought new found belief and pride to the team.

I actually think Kenny would walk if he got the job and things were'nt working out. It's club first for him everytime.

Why do we always end up having Maureen debates on here? I've never undertood it. He's never coming, not in a million years. Look at the clubs he's been at since Porto and tell me we fit the profile. Not a chance.

Well maybe he actually wants a challenge.  He's not going to win anything for RM this year and people are going to say, what happened?  He comes here, will be given loads of cash and he's always able to offload players he doesn't want, then he can build a new squad.  He gets a 6 place club 3rd place, we win the FA cup and qualify for champions league and he can consider himself incredible for turning the team around.  If he went and won league, than nobody would ever doubt his credentials again.

Nail on head
I know how good a manager he is and how good his track record is. Im even started to think hes not as much of a tw@t as he used to be
But
I wouldnt touch him with a bargepole as he is an even bigger control freak than someone we know and he would deffo leave us in the lurch as soon as he didnt get his own way
Lets stay with KK and see what happens

It beggars belief to me that we would someone like Mourinho at Anfield next season or any other season after the things he said about Rafa and about Liverpool after Garcia's goal that was in 2005.

I don't think he wanted the Liverpool job once Rafa had got it. I doubt he'd come this summer anyway given the size of the job involved. If he does return to english football it will surely be at City or United.

Liverpool don't need characters like Mourinho Rafa was in love with himself enough it's time to move on either with KK or someone younger who be part of the long term. Mourinho wouldn't stay for the long term end of.

The current available players without Gerrard, Agger, Kelly, Johnson are mostly below average players. I still feel Kenny could have done better in games against W.Ham, W.Brom, Wigan. However I am still of the opinion he should be given the chance to prove himself in the next 2 to 3 seasons whether he can bring back the glory days if he still has the passion for the job and not only here temporarily to rescue Pool from the mess created by Roy, Rafa, H&G.

I don't care to watch our remaining games without our best players available and cannot wait for this season to be over and see how the rebuilding and buying star names as claimed by Commolli will work out in the summer.
