Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby lakes10 » Wed May 23, 2007 10:51 am

Just seen them both in sky, very very funny. I can see how  they fit in at our club with the great wit they have.

Strange you dont see other clubs owners (mancs) show the same wit as the fans.

loved it when he pulled the big wad of monet out when talking about SG JC.lol

I really feel the club is in good hands.

I think that is the main difference between our owners and any other club's owners, is that, from the outset, they have 100% stated that they are about getting LFC back into being THE powerhouse club.

Starting with success on the pitch, they have stated that they will do their damndest to give Rafa their complete backing. I have always told my mates that Rafa with money will bring greatness back, and not just for the short term. This is where other owners fail, cos they make profits the priority.

I agree that the club is in the best hands its been in for a very long time. The good times are back people!!

I heard too Tom Hicks when he said that the players that we get are what " Rafa Recommends" sounds a bit different to Chelski's situation with Shuvchenko!
I'm so happy to see that the club has fallen into good hands and not just quick fix profit makers, however we must all be very grateful of the effort and support that David Moores gave our great club over his time as Chairman. It's sad I think that he had to sell but he's done as he's always done, in the best interests of Liverpool Football Club. Thanx Mr. Moores, and good luck!   YNWA!

I really feel the club is in good hands.

I would rather have the owners stay out of the football side of things and concentrate on what they are good at, the business.

Look at Chelsea. Abramovich wants to have his say in the football side of the club, and this has caused a strained relationship with him and manager due to interference (i.e. signing 'big names', Shevchenko and Ballack).

I can only assume that you mean the Glazers as well, who have acknowledged that success on the pitch means success off the pitch.

To suggest that your new owners aren't in it for the profit is ludicrous.

Man Utd and Liverpool are in good hands financially.

It's Chelsea who are not.

MU and LFC operate as businesses. Chelsea don't.

Yep, as soon as Abramovich is bored of watching their boring brand of football he will leave and leave them in a financial mess. Hopefully they sink like Leeds.

I think they will.

Were it not for the oligarch they would have gone into administration anyway.

Which might be a good thing. Both Hicks and Gillette have proved successful over more than one sport (albeit American salary-capped sports).

Maybe we need a non-emotional head to look after business while the leave the football to the experts unlike a certain Hearts owner...
