Hello all

It was only a matter of time...  :lookaround

I did wait a while to be fair - it is amusing reading some of the stuff from July  :p

agree with Benny (for once :D )

However, time will tell I still have hope that Joe Cole will be a success.

still thinks he needs a run in the team and offers more than Maxi.

I'm willing to hold my hands up and say that I was wrong about Joe Cole. Infact looking back now I think my judgement was clouded by what was going on at the Club at the time. The signing was essentially a smokescreen to get the fans onside and cover up what was happening with the ownership debacle.

He looks confused and rudderless to me
Perhaps if KK took him privately for a training session and showed him how to release the ball it would help?

drifts in and out of games too much for my liking.he is a showboater always was always will be.
the best thing he could do is move to spurs as a part exchange for somebody like krancar.
get rid soon as.

Offers more than Maxi, bloody hell that's not to hard, I think that I, sitting in my sofa, probably offer more than Maxi :D

Joe Cole was a risky signing but I'm sure some isiot out there will buy him off us, and they can have Maxi as well, and Lucas and Kuyt.

Joe Cole has been very unlucky to arrive at a time when our central midfield has been at its weakest in 20 years (circa 92/93). The amount of times he got the ball yesterday and there wasn't a soul available for him to pass to...and was constantly hurried as a result and the ball dispossesed.

While he can do nothing about inadequate team-mates in central midfield, the fact he smokes like a chimney doesnt help, and he doesnt look as sharp/focused. That he has come out and stated "he doesnt regret" choosing us over Spurs means exactly the opposite... it was on his mind. Lining up alongside Lennon, Van Der Vaart, Modric... or... Lucas, Spearing, Poulson.. he looks disillusioned ala Torres.

Joe is a luxury player.. and for a luxury player to perform the team must have a strong, solid core...he'd have been perfect in the 2009 team with Alonso, Masch in the middle. Hes the icing on the cake..but we have no cake.

If Liverpool have any pretensions of returning to their pass and move philosophy, then Cole needs to go ,sorry but  its as brutal as that .......

He was always quite pedestrian at Chelsea and for England from what I remember always reliant on others to move and pass to him. He's not a player who will take the bull by the horns and dominate a game particularly when he's low on confidence. The similarity with Kewell is becoming more apparent the more times he puts on a Liverpool shirt. I can see why Hodgson thought he'd be useful as a counter attacking ocassional scorer and creator. We should get rid at the earliest opportunity as he's a luxury we don't need and who won't improve us.
