been many year since i have been up to liverpool during xmas and i still love the place but

i was shocked by some of the views in the kop. yes most of them understood and said that Roy had been left with a vry poor team and he needs time and money to put the club right.

there was almost a fight in the kop when 4 fans started to call for Rafa to come back, six other fans tried to get them to shut up, the the name king k started.

it did not last long as other fans started to shout out to them to back the team and started to sing our old songs, but it did not last, the kop was in a very bad mood, my mate i was with just lives outside the ground and said the kop has been like this all year.

i would say that some are using the poor team that Roy has as a chance to try and get Rafa back....in fact i know that to be true as a few of them said so, others feel that Kenny should be back.......but some of them are only calling for him to get roy out in hope of getting Rafa back

in all it seemed like this in the kop

20% backing Rafa
15% kenny
65% backing the manager and team

and another point i will make.....Torres, 16 times he had the ball and lost it 14 times!!!!

a lot of the kop wished he would be taken off but again did not use their voice.

the pro Rafa are almost like thugs on the Kop and its not very nice

sorry if you dont like this post but it was i see and heard, and its very sad.

back the team and manager, we will get new money and chance to buils a new team.
the said point is that the 70% that are backing the team and manager are not using their voice on the Kop.

You must sit in a totally different Kop to me - 65% backing the manager and team ?!?! Are you kidding me - not one person at the ground is backing the manager - not one song has been sung about him , the negativity going around the ground is all about the manager .

no Roy in sinking on a ship that was holed by Rafa, but Rafa ship was already very old and about to sink at anytime.

Lakes ,rafa has gone .He's not coming back .He left six months ago . Stop blaming rafa and get over it . You are the only person that brings him up now . Give it a rest . Everyone bar you can see that hodgson is the one at fault here and should be sacked.

Lakes you know i am pro Rafa, i am no thiug and neither are most of thelads on the kop who backed him,  What you dont seem to understand is because we want him gone doesnt mean we want Rafa back, Myself yes i have stated id have him back but thats me, how the hell can you say 65 per cent of them in the ground backed the manager last night ,did you go to our game, im sure your on a pi,ss take with that post  you gotta be , i go week in week out and away games and stand sometimes with one of the lads from 306 who would have walked and carried Rafa back,on his shoulders but its not about him anymore its about ,the other fella but some just cant see it and think because we want him gone we want Rafa back, not the case,
I said in an earlier post this fella is gonna cause murders soon and i stand by that,

Bens post regarding tactics and the swapping of Meiles for Cole and the positon he took up mindblowing, Ngog sub mindblowing , WHY WHY , PERFECT footballing centre half on the bench WHY, Aurelio on the bench , Why

Nan i an olny talking about the pro Rafa lot that were near me and how they acted when some asked them to stop backing Rafa  at one point there was a face to facew bust up with one pro rafa and a guy with his his son, the guy with his sone said " sould you not be backing the team mate " to this the pro rafa guy come face to face with him and shouted in his face that he was a fing c*** and that rafa was that Rafa was the only person that could save the club.

the guy tried to point out that rafa was the person that had built the team thay roy was almost using and getting almost the same results as Rafa was at the end of last seaon.
At this point another pro rafa pulled his mate away and said back off he is with a kid.

i have never seen the kop like this  and i was there every week for years and years, how times change.

as i say nan it was 65% backing the team and manager but i did not ask for a vote so its was only my view on it from what i saw and heard

Lakes why am i not surprised that fits in perfectly with your theory about it all being Rafas fault - you were not in the Kop last night if you thought 65% were backing the manager - i think you would struggle to find one person backing the manager .

Well, there we have it.

That performance has finally done it for me, although i think we all knew that roy was a stop-gap manager, its now time to cut our losses and get rid.

I still can't argue with his appointment in the summer (turmoil, manager of the year, steady old head) but he has obviously failed to inspire the players and fans.

I'm looking for a complete change in football philosophy as our last three managers have been, shall we say "pragmatic" in their opproach to trying to get back to our 'bread and butter'

With the transfer window about to open, a new head coach could have some say in any tranfer targets

I may be changing my name to rijkaardsreds sooner rather than later. Which would not be a bad thing imo

As for this whole 'bring benitez back' thing, please stop it, its getting quite embarrassing now .

Raul has been our best player this season in CM and yet he shoved onto the right where he is poor and Maxi who has improved this season is on the bench.

The manager is clueless totally clueless once Wolves scored you knew it was game over we could still be playing now and still wouldnt score. :no

I agree
The players should be ashamed of themselves for that sh'ite they served up last night. No pride, no passion, no balls
They obviously have no respect for themselves, the manager or the supporters and Torres should leave himself out of the team if he is going to carry on playing like a tw@t.
Roy was powerless to stop the making a cu'nt of themselves.
By the way, I was right when I said we would never win the league with Benitez.

I've just seen one journalist claim that John W Henry has a huge call to make over Hodgson and that he needs to talk to the senior players 1st.

I mean is he having a f#cking laugh? These "senior players" are part of the reason we've ended up in this mess in the first place.

Since you like passing on the blame to other people, how is this?

That was your fault tonight.

The idealistic mirage of Liverpool supporters and the world-famous Kop is just that - a mirage. It's an illusion which has been perpetuated by Sky to give games at Anfield a unique selling point; ironically, some would argue it lost its lustre when Sky truly dug its claws into English football. Even so, people will hark back to the 60s, 70s and 80s and insist it wasn't always a wall of noise. My grandad says that. I always believe him.

I still maintain we not that bad though - we just don't have St. Etienne, Olympiakos et al every single home game.

But tonight, we did something we've never done before.

A small minority booed Lucas at home to West Ham, and then booed a side top-of-the-table.
A few sung 'you can stick your Gareth Barry up your @rse at the Lazio friendly.
A handful, I'm reliably informed, wanted Souness out.

We've never imploded, though; and make no mistake, that was a complete and utter implosion both on and off the pitch. That was akin to a child getting up in school and throwing a chair at the teacher, and then kicking the headmaster in the crotch.

Under any other circumstance, I'd be livid. I'd be embarrassed. I'd herald tonight as the death of what slight reality holds true regarding the fabled McKop Grandstand.

But this is your fault, Hodgson - and we'll be here long after you are, so there's only one winner in this.

This is your fault for bringing on Joe Cole and playing him central midfield.
This is your fault for shifting Raul Meireles to the right wing, despite the fact Lucas/Meireles has been the highlight of your horrendous tenure.
This is your fault for taking off David Ngog for Ryan Babel.
This is your fault for bringing on Joe Cole and playing him central midfield.
This is your fault for bring on a left-back for our final sub - even if it was to replace one of the worst left-backs this club has seen.
This is your fault for allowing Wolves to have as much time on the ball as possible.
This is your fault for bringing on Joe Cole and playing him central midfield.

And tonight was merely the final action. The straw that broke the camel's back, the drop that broke the dam; the last public humiliation, the last disregard to this football club and what it represents.

This is your fault for coming in on the first day and saying the ownership situation had nothing to do with you.
This is your fault for belittling 'those people' who were trying to do something about it.
This is your fault for blaming the youth players for our defeat to Northampton Town of the old 4th division. At home.
This is your fault for bringing that idiot Mike Kelly along and making him first-team coach.
This is your fault for signing Paul Konchesky, Joe Cole, Brad Jones and Christian Poulsen for around £10million, a couple of youth players and Alberto Aquilani.
This is your fault for making Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina change their style of play to suit your narrow-minded, short-termist viewpoint.
This is your fault for constant contradictions to what you say in order to cling desperately on to a job you know you have no right having.

But most of all, this is your fault for every time you open your mouth; every time you make this club sound like we should belong in the second division. It's your fault for that mentality, and it's your fault the players won't respond to you. It's your fault - and no one else's - that the supporters of this club despise you and despise everything you stand for.

And now you have actually had the temerity to blame the supporters and to blame Kenny Dalglish's interest (which you said wasn't there on your first day - another lie).

Both us and Kenny Dalglish will be here at our club long after you've been amputated from it, like the gangrenous limb your abominable reign has been. We'll still be here next season, "supporting" our team - supporting someone who represents us, who understands us; and someone who is proud to do so.

Roy Hodgson - get out of our club. Please.

Regardless of where it came from its unfortunately true.

Sometimes things just dont work out and it hasnt for him.  In fact he seems intent on making it worse.  I would respect him if he didnt seem intent on maintaining his own image.  THE CLUB COMES FIRST ALWAYS.

I was and am against personal insults but he is making it hard to be rational about him.

What will he do next, talk to the sun.

Its got a lot of points I wouldnt argue with
The thing about the Kop though is sh'it. It wasnt a mirage it was a spirit of likeminded people united in their love of LFC
And when it was all standing it was ALWAYS a wall of noise which put the sh'its up every team that came to Anfield
So whoevers grandad said that it didnt is talking bo'llocks
