So was Lucas before Poulsen came along

Lucas was young and was improving. Poulsen is as good as he will ever be.

Poulsen was a top player at his prime, unfortunately age is catching up with him.

He's only 30, you know. He's hardly middle-aged and got joint problems.

Morientes was a top player, but he was garbage with us.

He also joined us when he is 29.

Most top players at that age who have never played in the English league before struggle when they join a top English side.

I don't think age has anything to do with that, though. That's more to do with being too acustomed to playing a different style of football over the years and can't adapt to the pace of the league that well. It seems that if you've been playing in an Italian league and come into the premiership, the pace catches players out, especially true of defensive players like Poulsen.

What other players have come from Italy after a long spell there and done well in the Premiership? I'm trying to think of some.

We can sell Lucas at a profit while Poulsen is the new Diao who will sit out his contract as noone wants him cause he is ****.

Rafa made us profit on Players?? Morientes 2m loss, Keane, 6m loss. Aquilanni 6m loss, Babel? Unknown. Garcia 3m loss. Riera 4m loss.

Se my point?

Too many looking through rose tinted glasses about Rafa's time here. He made many mistakes in the transfer market, but as rafa always did, always will do, he will blame the owners, tea lady, table manufacturers etc.

Konchesky isnt really that bad, he's just  asteady eddy. 4.5m gets you that these days. Poulsen= a dud. Def money lost. Raul? Well, im delighted to have him here.

So, there you go. Good and bad from both. Cole??? Personally I think he's past his best. A career that looks good on paper, but ultimately, the lad has looked in from the outside. Should of been a world beater with the talent he had.

Are you joking with me?

Yes, you mention the players Rafa made a loss on.

What about Alonso? A 20 million profit there covering up all his losses on one player. Not his fault he never saw a penny of it.

What about the potential value of Torres and Reina?
They cost 25 million!!!!
Absolute steal. Worth double now and I am being conservative.

Rafa in general brought in players with good enough value and longevity which means he never once made a Diao or a Poulsen, paying 5 million and getting nothing back.

Instead he brought in players like Momo, Lucas who were young and with enough talent to ensure at least your money back.

Yep. What's the connection between all those players, though?

Nan, i've read Roy's comments and fail to see what's wrong. He's saying as it is.

Has either himself or the press ever mentioned the state he left Fulham in. He and others are quick to point out this is not his team, well the same thing should be considered then an all for poor old mark Hughes,
Roy is a absolute joke of a man with no ambition ,little expectations, nevermind him having underhanded sly digs at the playing staff, if you like him have lowerd your expectations for us then i truely feel sorry for you , are we as fans expected to put up with the shi.te that comes out of his mouth and watch the sh.ite he serves up week in week out, im not mate, I fought for three years for our club to be rid of madness .yes we seen a vision of the golden sky but were still getting batterd by the storm, and his mouth.

"An agent rings you up to ask if you want to sign Van der Vaart, you say 'no' and then the next minute you're one of the clubs that want to sign him.

"I apologise to Van der Vaart if his agent gave him another story. I think he's a very good player, but he's not the profile of the player we were looking for"

Then he goes out and signs that wonderful prolific player POULSON, absolute joke,

Bargain of the season Roy , what was the difference in price

right...so what do you want him to say?

over the last few weeks he's said:

-We need to improve
-We need new players because our team isn't good enough

I don't want him talking about Fulham. I don't give a shi!te about how Hughes is doing...its Liverpool FC i'm concerened about.

It isn't a case of lowering your expectations...it's about being honest about the huge problems we have with our squad and sorting them out. Roy wasn't left with a top 4 side and pretending otherwise isn't going to help us improve.
