The man cant go on to the pitch and score the goals for them

Should have but didn't. Not good enough.

But is that Roys fault? or the players?

Doesn't matter. It's up to him to motivate them and get them playing to their potential, taking their chances ect...

Dundalk wrote:Yeah fair enough MH, the manager has to take the majority of the blame. Thats his job. He is in charge. There seemed to be a lack of leadership out there today, something Arsenal have been labeled with a few times. We needed someone to take control of the game and put their stamp on it.

Anyone know who could have done that for us? :D

As for Torres, he needs to shape up quickly or get out. If he is not happy then pack your bags and head to the sun and get someone in who wants to play for the shirt. Just as a matter of interest who do you think would buy him and who much would the pay?

It certainly wont be the 80 million it was a season or two ago

Barca would buy him, but in the summer. Torres would want to link up with Villa. if we can get 3m I'll be happy :D  nah im just being harsh lol.

The simple fact is we look and play like a midtable side- excellent one game, mediocre the next.

We have lost 7 and won 6 drawn 4 I think. How long do you need before it becpmes patently obvious that Roy is NEVER, has NEVER been and NEVER will be a top 4 Premier league manager.
If you want mid-table mediocrity and Torres, Reina (maybe SG too) gone at the end of the season back him.

If you want the revolution that is needed then drop him and bring in a Hiddink type manager. Whatever it costs.

The Liberal's will be on next Emerald telling You and I we're not REAL Fans, they'll bang on about the YNWA spirit and that REAL Fans back the Manager!

What they won't do is be able to give any coeherent Fact's as to why Hodgson should stay in charge of LFC after such a woeful run of Games away from home.

They will sweep under the carpet and ignore the FACT that this incumbent Manager is INCAPABLE of winning a Football Game away from HOME!

They will bang on all day until you're that tired of listening to the inane drivel that it's all the previous Manager's fault, it's his team and that we have to give Hodgson time.

Well i've been banging on, along with a lot of likeminded fans that have watched this Club for a long time that this Manager isn't Good Enough, it's NOT through a Hatred for the man, nor through rose tinted glasses, that i say this, it's through FACT.

WE Can't and never will be able to reach what's now become the pinacle of our ambition, What used to be the Norm of a top Four finish by being INCAPABLE of beating the Opposition Away from Home.

This Manager has proved he's incapable of doing so, not just here, but with every English Club he's Managed.

He's not Good Enough, at present We're not Good Enough under his tenureship, there's only ONE resolution I can think of ........ He has to GO, the Sooner the Better!

No point in giving kids a chance in mickey mouse cups and not giving them a chance in prem when we have nothing to play for this season. Where'e shelvey, wilson, pacheco etc.

Many have been patient with you, but, you are lost at this club. You dont know how big our expectations are. Why bring in cole and keep him on bench when fit?? When Kuyt is so obviously trash?

Goodbye Roy. Please bring in a young hungry footballing manager. This club is so rotten just now its unreal

this winds me up, theres no point playing a bunch of kids in the cups, id rather bring in the odd 1 or 2 alongside big name surley that will help the progress

Agreed, but Im not sure how he could motivate someone in a one on one short of making our player wear a bluetooth headset so he can chat to them during the match, when Torres did miss, Roy looked well :censored: off, but then encouraged him to try it again? Im not sure what else he could do.

Also if having a new son isnt encouragement enough Im not sure what would get Torres firing.

Horrible!! Ive backed him to give him a chance but we are awful. Ive watched our wins this season and they have all come from the opposition having stinkers on the day rather than us playing well. Chelsea were awful, Villa too, West brom (well that could of gone both ways) We are dire and the club is rotten.

GO NOW ROY! PLEASE TAKE SAMMY WITH YOU! A NEW START WITH A MODERN THINKING OUTLOOK ON FOOTBALL. GOOD TO WATCH ON THE EYE. A FEW YEARS OF REBUILDING AND THEN LETS GO BACK TO CHAMPS LEAGUE. BUT NOW WE ARE :censored: TERRIBLE

Do you think on past performance he deserves his place in the team Emerald?

Or is he untouchable?

im not saying sacking the manager is the answer but what if we keep losing games? ??? ok the players have to take the blame fair enough but theres got to be a point where we say enough is enough. on a different note.... does anyone else think that when we have torres and/or gerrard in the team the players around them go into there shells? im not for 1 second blaming them but since gerrard has been out our other midfielders look so much better and when torres missed the game against villa ngog and babel seemed to link up well.
